Jasmine House — Restaurant in Stockport

I have got to say I’m very disappointed with my tonight’s takeaway meal from the Jasmin house. We placed an order using the just eat app as we have done many times during the recent lockdown. During the lockdown we found the food to be really quite nice on a whole. Tonight’s order was the first recent order since the restaurant reopened and found that the same food we have ordered in previous weeks etc was definitely not the same quality, or standard of food we was sent this evening. The food tonight was very poor quality along with tasting and looking different. This to me feels like whilst the restaurant was closed the quality was great to keep you ordering takeaways but now it’s reopened it overall looked and tasted no different to your average takeaway. Yet costing much more. I do feel disappointed as I thought we had found a decent Chinese to suit but not with what food we received tonight definitely not. I know Uber eat prides it self on speed but I really should of known just by how fast the delivery actually took its wasn’t going to be great. Order placed at 17.55 delivered by 18.16 x 2 soups , ribs, x 2 main meals and x2 egg fried rice order cost £45 . Was this food cooked early on today and reheated or kept hot? We went there as a large party and multiple people ordered the set meals, leaving those of us who ordered just a main having 2 hours cor our food. They should of been provided some nibbles in which to tide us over. On top of that we were located up stairs and having several people in our group who struggle with their mobility, coming up the stairs was a real effort. The price of the food was insane, in a local takeaway you could of got everything half the price. But the real kicker of the night was the water. A bottle on room temp water was £5.90, unaware of this we had multiple. Across just 8 people out of our 15 we had 3 bottles of water 4 beers, 2 bottles of wine ( which cost £20 - which you could get at Aldi for £5 ), 4 cokes (which were room temp) costing £100. My husband and I visited here New Years Eve 2019, the restaurant was decorated very well with a happy atmosphere. We ordered the small banquet of Chicken and Sweetcorn soup for starters, my husband had the Hot and Sour, both were hot and delicious. Our 2nd dish was a Hor's d'Oeuvres of 7 dishes, all very nice and hot. Our main course was for myself a Sizzling Fillet Steak and my husband had a Chicken with Green Peppers and Black beans accompanied by Egg Fried Rice, all excellently cooked and hot.
