The room was totally overcrowded. Very nice waiters were using guests to passing the drinks and plates forward as some areas weren’t reachable for them. Going to toilet highly challenging. Not comfortable at all. Not sure about fire regulations, but it didn’t look too safe.

We have been in group of 9 for joined birthdays of my friends. Ordering all different dishes, we can say the food was average, my roasted lamb a bit fatty, so I couldn’t finish. One of us has found a metal item on the bottom of the plate in his food, like kind of washer, button or a piece of their kitchen equipment. Dangerous. Complained to teenage waiter just quick apology, nothing more. 10 minutes after served drinks, we have been ask to leave as other group was coming.Time slots for the tables ridiculously short. In very polite but pushing way, the waiters destroyed my friend’s birthday showing us a door. We had to left the restaurant in bad mood after 1.45 hour with half full drinks left on the table. Restaurateurs clearly switched for quick, big income rather than a good service.

We love Turkish people, their food and music, visiting a lot, however this time, we recommend to avoid this particular place until they learn what is the difference between feeding human beings and animals.

Dear Mr Owner.

Thanks for your reply.

I can agree with your reply about your generous time slots as long as you are considering your business as fast food. We must have just mistaken your restaurant with a relaxing place to spend some nice time with friends over a glass of wine and pleasant meal, without being kicked out with unswallowed food in the mouths. Just misunderstanding I can admit. Please also forgive me for the "animal" word, but as I am visiting restaurants frequently then usually realizing quick crowdy feeding factory from the farming point of view.

Regardles your wrong or wright calculation of the minutes we spent there, the way how you recover your tables from guests is just too pushy.

We were expecting an apology for unwelcomed piece of metal in your dish rather than accusation for lying, especially when regarded this as a serious matter by yourself. Somehow, your young waiter who got our complaint didn't. There were like five of nine of my friends witnesses conversation with the waiter who was inspecting metal object, and all was resumed by us to be careful what you are serving to customers. The victim of dish with metal suprise had no intention to make it a big deal apart quick warning, then your stuff knew about this very well. No one gets hurt which is good, but again, please be careful what serving.

There is no point to arrange an on-place unpublic conversation about it as this review is to expose some imperfection in your business rather then pulling out any private benefits for your crew mistakes, but if you require more proofs, I can ask my accompanying friends for separate comments under Google review or Facebook. We though that just one review in most of us behalf will be enough.

I suggest double check if your fire and safety checks are still applied if the place is so much overcrowded.

Please be aware that Google review, Tripadvisor or Facebook gives me opportunity for express my opinion about services provided for community and my personal impression, what I did without judging anybody directly, so please safe your rude and offensive comments towards myself or any other unhappy customer. It is just unprofessional. The criticism like I did is to provoke some improvement in your business with benefit for your customers, rather than just make you...

On their opening weekend it was such a shame there were so many things wrong making it an incredibly unrelaxing experience. The restaurant was very cold with draughts coming from the front and the back, with multiple customers sitting in their winter coats. They didn't have two out of four of the drinks we ordered, and when placing our food order after sitting there for 40 minutes, again there were menu options they didn't have which is baffling on their 3rd day open. Once the food arrived, the tzatziki was bland and watery with the calamari clearly not fresh or homemade. When clearing our plates, the waiter offered to top up one dip which wasn't completely finished only to never return! The mains arrived very late, with the salad missing key ingredients mentioned on the menu and very much a green salad for £9! One of our main dishes was also completely forgotten about by the kitchen and arrived 20 minutes later after asking 3 times where it was and getting no information back from waiters. To top it off, the 5 Christmas songs they had blasted out far too loud on rotation was making it very difficult to hear each other. All the while, what seemed to be the owner just sat at the bar drinking, taking no notice of the errors when staff told him what was going on or coming to apologise. Just shows the customer service won't be instilled if it isn't in the management already. Overall, the good bits such as some of the meat when it arrived on time, were hugely overshadowed by the experience and the lack of decent customer service as we were constantly having to get their attention for things. They clearly weren't ready to open, took too many table sittings at the same time and haven't trained staff on table or...

Visited Thursday. Starters of vine leaves, sucuk, 2 x grilled halloumi. All very good. Mains of 2 x mixed meats. The rice was tasty and perfectly cooked. Large amount of food. Part of mine did my breakfast. Chicken casserole was described as excellent. My husband had the chicken beyti kebab and thoroughly enjoyed. Baklava and cheesecake for deserts. Only slight criticism would be the cheesecake base could have been dryer. Maybe a little too long in fridge, but a wonderful filling. One of the nicest I have had. A bottle of house red/ Merlot and 2 extra glasses had. Good for a house red. Would have been nice to have had music lower and maybe some Turkish music too. Venue lovely and also clean. £170 for 4 as a 3 course meal with wine. I don’t think too bad at all. £15 tip left as everything was very good, lovely attentive staff and definite recommendation and return from us...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An unforgettable family experience at Sarma Marple! We had the most magical evening at Sarma Marple — the food was delicious, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and the service was absolutely top-notch. We especially loved the theatrical presentation of the dishes, which completely wowed our kids — just like in the video we’ve attached! The dry ice effect made it feel like a special show at the table, and the staff were so kind and engaging throughout. Everything was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The restaurant had a lively yet cozy vibe, perfect for a family dinner or a night out with friends. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the experience so right. Thank you to everyone at Sarma Marple for making our visit so special — we’ll definitely be back again soon

A group of us visited Sarma for a friend's birthday after a recommendation by a friend. We couldn't have been happier! We went for the mixed mezze and bread, halloumi, stuffed vine leave starters and the mixed grill to share. The portions were enormous and the mixed grill was absolutely outstanding! The restaurant has a really cosy atmosphere and all of the staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We tried three different wines from the menu and they were all superb! The owner Ziad came over personally to make sure everything was satisfactory and even brought out a complimentary candle and Bailey's as he knew it was her birthday. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail were second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sarma to anyone!

Can’t recommend Sarma restaurant enough. The food is absolutely outstanding. Incredible flavours, delicious bread and garlic butter. The meat is so tender, even the side salad has a delicious dressing. The sticky rice is so good too. Every dish has so much attention to detail and the presentation is top notch. The drinks are presented beautifully. They do go the extra mile. All the extra little details and added finishing touches really make a difference. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the atmosphere is wonderful, lively but cosy. A really nice vibe. Perfect for families, couples and groups. They certainly don’t cut corners at Sarma. Definitely found a little gem of Marple, I would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back.
