If you want to experience really good coffee in a comfortable, shiny, neon lit eclectic environment bod is where to be. I’ll put my neck out and say that it is one of the most atmospheric coffee shops I’ve ever experienced in a while. Walk in and immediately look up; the glaze of the white and green clay plays trick with the light that is captivating. The cafes furniture begs a lot of time to be expended in its comfort. Walk to the bar area and peer over at the beer and coffee set up. It’s craft at its best. The hipster staff member will see to it that your beverage is poured with an artistic stroke. A superb venue and located in a train station?

Lovely bar, but they need to work harder to see its full potential. Unclear why on a relatively quiet Saturday evening the door to the station is locked. A frame outside on the platform inviting one in, but a locked door, no explanation. No sign. They have some interesting beers, but need to keep the fridge stocked and should diversify their ciders. Everyone is pleasant and it’s probably one of the best railway station bars I’ve been in, the decor is lovely, but don’t lock your door to customers. Manage your business. I’ll definitely be back.

One of my favourite pubs I love when I can change here at Stoke as I can have a cheeky beer on the platform and watch the trains go by. They have a decent food menu when food is on and a good selection of local Staffordshire beers, it's one titanic that you will wish to sink.

This is a lovely little café/bar to spend time in while waiting for a connecting train. Great atmosphere, really nice coffee, and a much more pleasant place to relax than the main station.

The only small bit of feedback I have is about my experience when I first arrived. I was mid-phone call, and the station was (as expected) loud and hectic. I had a quick look around for somewhere quieter to sit and order a coffee, and came across this spot, which was perfect.

I found a seat, got settled, and was still mid-call when a staff member approached me—about two minutes in—to ask if I intended to buy anything. I completely understand why they asked: without that, the space could quickly end up being treated more like a waiting area than a café. I’m sure they’ve had people take advantage of the location, and they need to protect the business, so I do think the question is totally valid and fair.

That said, I was still on the phone and hadn’t been there long, so it did catch me off guard a little. I had to interrupt my call to explain that I was planning to order as soon as I finished up the conversation and looked at the menu.

This is honestly just a tiny reflection, and it doesn’t take away from the lovely atmosphere, the great service, and the quality of the coffee. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back. Maybe a small grace period (even 10 minutes) for those arriving mid-call could help avoid these slightly awkward moments, especially when people are genuinely planning to order.

I hope this feedback is received in the spirit it’s given – with full appreciation of the lovely space and the challenges that come with running a busy café in a station environment. It’s a great little spot – definitely...

Probably the worst of all the Bod pubs. Generally speaking Bod is a great pud - the Trentham is actually our local, and I’ve been to a few others too but this one is a dump. Poor atmosphere and poor, lazy staff mean it’s a forgettable experience. We were last there on a Saturday night. Got there at 19:15 to be told that don’t have fruit for the draft Blue Moon because they’re ’closing in 45 mins’ similar excuse was offered when we asked for a hot drink. A few folks turned up at 19:25 and were told they couldn’t come in as they were closing soon. It was clear they were looking for a flyer. Door men on the door swearing loads, and bragging about their ‘naughty 40’ connections, it is a shame as Bod is always about enjoying life with nice beers and this place just doesn’t live up to that idea. We had one...

Shocking service. Everytime I wanted to go to the bar both staff members ,the 2 women, were either outside vaping or sat in the bar area behind the barrier chatting away ,where all the customers were on the other side. 15 mins at 1 point they were sat there . It was about 5.30 so if you check the cameras you would see it . Ìts not the 1st time ,ive been in a couple of times before and its happened constantly then all members go outside all at once for a vape . Then because they are all stood in the doorway you cant get in or out. Customer service at its worse at the attitude of the younger woman is shocking how she soeaks to some people . Needs to be retrained in...
