I am absolutely delighted to share a glowing review for the Kingsway (White Star) in Stoke-on-Trent! Under the new ownership of Hayley and Pete, this establishment has truly become a shining gem in the local community. First and foremost, the food at the Kingsway is nothing short of excellent. Hayley and Pete have clearly put their heart and soul into curating a menu that caters to a wide range of tastes and preferences. Whether you're in the mood for classic comfort food or something more adventurous, you can trust that your taste buds will be delighted with each and every dish served. The quality of the ingredients and the skill in the kitchen are undeniable, making every meal a memorable experience. What truly sets the Kingsway apart, however, is the unmatched hospitality offered by Hayley and Pete. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with warmth and friendliness that instantly makes you feel at home. They go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels valued and taken care of. Their dedication to customer satisfaction is truly second to none, and it's evident in every aspect of your visit. I've had the pleasure of hosting team meetings in the upstairs function room at the Kingsway, and I can confidently say that nothing is too much trouble for Hayley and Pete. They excel in providing a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere for gatherings of all kinds. Whether it's a corporate meeting, a celebration, or a special event, they ensure that every detail is attended to, allowing you to focus on what matters most. In addition to the fantastic food and impeccable hospitality, the Kingsway offers a remarkable selection of real ales, standard lagers, and premium lagers. Whether you're a seasoned beer enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a refreshing drink, their diverse range of beverages ensures there's something for everyone. In conclusion, the Kingsway (White Star) in Stoke-on-Trent, under the exceptional ownership of Hayley and Pete, is a must-visit destination. With outstanding food, unparalleled hospitality, and a fantastic beverage selection, it's a place where every visit feels like a special occasion. I wholeheartedly recommend experiencing this wonderful establishment for yourself—you won't be disappointed!

Really enjoyed a pint of cider in friendly atmosphere in the White Star. Its nice to see traditional pubs still exist. Visited on a Tuesday afternoon and had a pint of cider only £4. Served by Sarah who was instantly engaging, warm and friendly. She really was great fun and despite being on her own kept the whole bar in order and it was great to chat with some other fabulous characters. Pity i'm going to miss the Elvis tribute this weekend.

New owners are good. Beers are good. Sport on plus disco i think Friday. Bit pricier than other pubs in stoke but for the bit extra I think it's worth it. Haven't had food but everything I have seen looks very nice. Also haven't met a member of staff that isn't really good, nice and welcoming. Definitely dog friendly 👍

The White Star's main point of attraction is the ale. Locally brewed Titanic ale specifically. While the food is reasonable it cannot be described as good value. Like so many pubs - that provide food - what was once given is slowly but surely being taken away. Thinner slices, less chips and the diminishing salad. Everything shrinks, except for the price, following the once excellent value J D Wetherspoons Beer and Burger model. First they took the onion rings away, then the salad became pitiful, then that white paper pot of relish vanished and a portion of chips imperceptibly became a handful. Little wonder that pubs are dying off. I hope the White Star survives...

We normally always go here on a Saturday night for Gary's soul and motown night. 12 of us went in last night and the lady behind the bar said they had got rid of the soul and motown night now for the future. We have been coming years for this. I asked for a drink, I got my drink and it was sour. I complained and found out the man behind the bar went decided to just do me a different drink without telling me because they didn't have what I wanted. It also stunk of drainage in there. Everyone was holding there noses and putting there nose in their tops. We ended up leaving our drinks and going...
