Went here today as a wedding anniversary treat as we had really enjoyed coffee and cakes a few weeks back .....BUT o boy what a difference so extremely disappointing and stale . Firstly only strawberry jam ,not everyone can eat or like this and when I politely pointed this out I was met in a rather cool manner and it was suggested marmalade instead ,when it came the sandwiches were so chunky ,the cake selection was extremely tiny just half a brownie cut in to 2 ,a slice of cherry cake cut into 4 ,we were not offered or told what cakes would be just that they chose them!it also came with a scone covered in strawberry ,clotted cream and choice of tea or coffee .the scone was stale and dry and had funny taste and the cream was out of date !when we went to pay I pointed all this out plus the fact that the one at the next table was totally different we were met with ...o really sorry will tell chef ....o my what awful miserable service !We wouldn't recommend and certainly will not return ,to think that on our last visit I actually returned the next day to praise the goods and service, so totally different today...thanks very much for such an awful and disappointing time . O and no thorough allergy info on menu as I now believe to be law.looks nothing like photo on your website either . Avoid I would go elsewhere update Apparently I should have told them on booking...

Such a shame. We came for a last day before school treat and stumbled on this place…it was busy (hindsight tells me unsuspecting tourists like us) and on a very busy street….so what could go wrong….the food was of such poor quality. The fish and chips was the cheapest frozen fish of very poor quality and over fried….chips the same, chicken burger the same, sandwich…..really cheap ingredients. I hate complaining and when the waitress asked us at the end of the meal if everything was ok we just nodded and paid the bill…..i wouldn’t normally leave a bad review if I hadn’t have informed the establishment of our experience, but I feel compelled to do so to warn off other diners from having the same experience. Not sure where all the five star reviews come from as from I could see all the food on everyone’s plate looked...

Showery day but decided to sit outside, as the place was busy inside & out. Ordered and paid for Baileys Coffees (£9 for 2) to have before it started to rain again. Waited 20 minutes for the Coffees to arrive but when they did they were 'put' down in front of us, no sugars, no spoons on the side, nearly cold. Complained to a different waiter then had to wait again for 5 minutes, by which time it was raining. The coffees were brought by the same person who brought the first cold ones this time with spoons and sugars but spilled coffee in the saucer till the sugar sachets were soaked in coffee. Told the coffees were extra hot & be careful, (which they were), but the whole experience of looking forward to...
