Four family members went to celebrate my wife’s birthday yesterday evening. Two had not eaten Vietnamese cuisine before so it was a new experience for them. The Four Seasons has recently opened and a lovely ambience has been create with pleasant background music. The staff are excellent: an enthusiastic welcome, brilliant table service, drinks order taken patiently and delivered promptly, always respectful, never rushed. Now the food. An extensive menu made selection a marathon but everything was comprehensively described and the appetisers and main course were duly selected. The appetisers arrived, beautifully presented and exactly as described. Exquisite flavours and in a quantity that would make an excellent lunch. After an appropriate pause, the main courses arrived. Again, outstanding presentation and superb flavours. I don’t think in all my years that, in a restaurant, I have been served with so many large prawns so perfectly cooked. All of us were completely satisfied with our choices. And finally, at the end, a lovely sharing plate of fresh fruit arrived complements of the house. A super evening, in a lovely ambience with outstanding food. Then as we were leaving we had the pleasure of meeting the head chef to chat about our experience.
