Gatsby — Restaurant in Sunderland

At 1:55 I was on the balcony smoking a cigarette when a member of the security staff took my jacket and my girlfriend's jacket from the upper to the lower floor even though my girlfriend came for only seconds to call me to leave . We asked the DJ if he has seen something, as we left our jackets next to the DJ booth. He confirmed that one of the staff members took them down. When we got down we started asking everyone, they guaranteed that they looked everywhere and for a whole hour we were suffering and literally searching everywhere and we asked the whole team and no one wanted to help and some of them rudely said come back in the morning. For us it was not an option as our home keys were inside the jacket. When I went back upstairs to talk to one of the managers, the bartender brought a security guard to kick me out as if I was there just to cause trouble. I went there just to get the jacket back, which I was sure wasn't stolen from the attendees, but from the staff. The strange thing is that for a whole hour we couldn't find it. Only then did the manager named John returned the jackets. Instead of an apology, the entrance security verbally insulted me, pushed me unnecessarily even though I was keeping the distance and talking to him calmly. I know people love it here and the service is fast but the cost for drinks is more than other places and their own prices are not consistent. Last night I was charged £10 for a Guinness 0 (£3.80 earlier) and a pint of Guinness (full alcohol). But even normaly the drinks are higher than other places without just made up inflated prices.

If you want to avoid this see what the current offer is... and don't buy drinks for others as you will be trapped paying extra!

Good music and sound system and on quiet times it is nice as a pub apart from the times they close early if not enough customers and if they then start clearing away tables to make room for a dance floor and you were settled in for an early evening with a pint.

i was there on a night out with my mates and we were dancing all off the sudden a bouncer comes to my friend and takes him out i went after them to see what was the problem and i asked what’s going on the bouncer said you can’t come here anymore you’re banned and i said why we have done nothing wrong and while talking to the bouncer i was trying to go back in to enjoy my night out with my mates and the bouncer just punches me in the face kickes my chest for absolutely no reason and now im in the hospital my right ear is bleeding and can’t hear anything and my chest is all gone purple from the kick, im just shocked for what happened i dont know why the bouncer was so mad at us when we done nothing wrong, is it just because we are not white? or have a blonde hair?! it was...
