We did Tamworth Castle Grounds parkrun on Saturday. This lovely little cafe is just by the start/finish which had a roaring open fire burning inside. Unfortunately, it is quite small so we had to sit outside to enjoy our breakfast as not enough seating for our sizable group (but we did keep popping into to stand by the fire and warm out hands and smell the wood smoke!) Great value breakfast, and loved that you could have mushrooms on your bacaon or sausage sandwich, often not an option. And the small Full English included black pudding and coffe at just £6 Definitely recommended! (of course we also made a film of our day, you can watch that here: https://youtu.be/QMBA4nHzhkU )

What a lovely little cafe in the beautiful surroundings of tamworth castle, plenty of food for all on the menu including specials boards, the chips were very nice and vegan friendly a good size and value for money, I hope to try the vegan strawberry ripple next time after more chips, staff very friendly and helpful and the inside was very clean and tidy. Great cafe for food while taking your kids to the park or just out walking your dog/s, See you again soon

Was at the Castle grounds, fancied a coffee, decided too get a black coffee to go from the Pavilion cafe, as they have the fresh grind automatic coffee machines. What I got was one spoon of instant coffee in a large cup, it was was bad tasting and very watery due to lack of coffee and size of cup and all for the cost of £2. Feel it sound be made clear you are getting instant coffee and not ground coffee.

It all felt lovely when we went in but it quickly soured. There were no hand washing facilities on site, as the toilet was 'out of order' and due to 'health and safety' they wouldn't let me go an wash my hands, as it was 'horrible in there'. However, they seemed to be storing things for customer use in there, so it didn't add up. But really it was the rudeness of the woman who told me this that was awful, rather than the message itself. It's not what you say but how you say it, and she was rude, abrupt and not understanding . Even when I explained my daughter had just been sick on me (after choking on a crisp), in their facility, she refused to let me use the sink in the toilet and sent me to the public toilets that stunk of wee. They didn't clean the sick properly and even came over with a cloth they were using for the tables to clean the sick on the floor, before we stopped them. Then they just gave us napkins to wipe it up. No disinfectant. I was put off my food and...

This is a superb venue, a local treasure. The food is made to order, and it is always superb. Cold foods are always made daily, and the prices are kept low, too. The staff are brilliant, the venue is clean and tidy, and it is usually open 7 days a week, often from 8 am onwards. There is even a pet menu, too, and pets are allowed into the venue if well behaved. There is outdoor seating and table service, and seasonally, there is an outside servery usually for ice creams. It is located in the castle grounds opposite the play area and within walking distance of several car parks and the toilets as well as the bowling alley and Ankerside...
