Market Vaults — Restaurant in Tamworth

Always come in here when in Tamworth for the September CAMRA beer festival. Plus points it's a Joules pub so the decor is very traditional pub, tied house type of decor (I would describe as "Samuel Smiths lite" and that is no criticism) ie lots of Joules branded mirrors traditional bar counter basically Joules full range of real ales and keg lagers (the keg lagers are a step above the national brands also on offer). From previous experience the hot food is very good, but on this visit I had a cob which, honestly was very basic (for comparison have a cob in the Windmill Rugby, that's basically a meal). Market Vaults tamworth ( my first visit after the recent refurb )and nice to see they kept its unique styling....Went down to see the open mic night on Thursday 18/7/19 .. great ales to choose from nice to enjoy a quality craft beer . The music was really good and such a friendly atmosphere. It was a shame there was a woman swearing and being extremely rude ( shame the owners didnt put a lid on her ) . Would love to make this a regular thing (but I will check to see if that woman is present first...
