went here this morning for breakfast (sunday) walked in to be greeted by a lovely lady that said there was a 30 minute wait on food due to a large table, accepted this took a seat and had a latte. coffee came promptly. customers were still coming in and being told there was a wait on food, we waited for an hour and noticed a table was given breakfast before us yet they arrived about 10 minutes after we arrived...we confronted the red haired lady as we were told 30 minutes but waited an hour. she apologised and I said well how can we still be waiting when we came in and only ordered 2 breakfasts and were still waiting over the hour, she rudely said that she had already apologised it's how the kitchen works, and wanted us to wait a further 20 minutes. I was reluctant to even wait 30 minutes...after today's service I wouldn't be going back to this cafe again!!!!!
also we had been here a few times previously to this cafe. never seen the red haired lady in there before but again we won't be...
Read moreService was shocking, waited way too long to be seen, asked to repeat our order about 3 times per person and then still got asked to repeat it 25 mins later when they eventually seemed to start cooking our food. Re-confirmed the order and asked again for no tomato on the burger before immediately getting told ‘we didn’t say that earlier’. Food took another 20 mins to come after that and the finer details we asked for such as ‘hard eggs’ were ignored. They also didn’t have ‘bloomer bread’ as stated for the toast and each plate either had cold toast, burnt toast or undercooked bread smothered in butter. The bacon was either burnt to a crisp or rubbery and raw and the beans were cold. Sausages were lovely and the hash browns but all in all a disappointing breakfast. Coffee machine was also not working to top things off. Not a great overall experience and won’t bother...

As we were sitting down at the available table, a member of staff approached and said there were no tables. I looked confused for a couple of seconds waiting for her to elaborate, but I had to ask, "what about the free table here?". To which I was told it would gridlock the cafe (which I don't mind in and of itself, as we try to be respectful in small spaces with the pram). However we were made to feel unwelcome and a little embarrassed (as though I should have known). It's a shame as I've wanted to try the place...
