Rosies Kabin — Restaurant in Tendring

We went here for lunch on sat 13/09/25 , I went up and ordered our meals and added a slice of white bread for me and brown bread for my partner. Our meals came quite quickly but my partner was about to eat his 2nd half of bread when he noticed mould all over it !! I took it to the counter and waited in the queue to show the girl, she said “ I’m so sorry “ I asked if there was any fresh and she said “yes”, I told her where we were sitting and sat back down. That was it!! We finished our meals and my partner went up to the counter because they didn’t come to the table with any more fresh bread, or explain they didn’t actually have any, or offer my partner an apology, so he spoke to the girls at the counter who apologised and gave him 70p refund which is diabolical but better than nothing, I don’t think the girls actually knew how to handle the situation !! Also while we were there at another table a lady had to ask for her soup to be reheated as it wasn’t hot enough! We definitely WONT be eating...

Ordered the Curry goat, rice & peas & Jerk meal. We run a food business that specializes in American & Cuisine from Haiti. Folks ask us all day, EVERY day for Jamaican food and we tell them Haitian people go TO Jamaican food joints for those items. WE don't make them..... Said all that to say THIS place right here is THE PLACE for everyone on this side of the M25 to go for your Authentic Jamaican food. It was finger licking lip smacking delicious. We are hitting that shop on the regular :) Next time to have a seat in the lovely seating area they have under a glass dome... wha? Yeah... Highly recommended. Everyone should go and have some food. Fantastic! Came in with my partner and 2 children, and the staff where lovely, cleared a highchair really quickly for us (and sanitised) and then came over to take our orders. Proper pie and mash, which was of better quality than the traditional pie and mash shops in the area, and the chicken pie was amazing 🥰 kids also thoroughly enjoyed, and to their joy both got a lolly after their lunches.
