Modern, clean, warm, welcoming, friendly staff, made you feel like a person not just a number.
After a long day in London I came back home, looking for sustenance to quench for the hunger of missing breakfast. As I walked up Marine Gardens on my way to Greggs for a sweet treat I noticed this place like a beacon of light drawing me in. An ambience of sophistication irradiating from every window. I entered and was blown away. It's modern aesthetic with a greek flair.
The staff welcomed me and gave me time to take in the sights before asking how my day was. The staff helped to explain the various confections are on display including giving me a personal recommendations based on my personal favourites. Overall I felt like my time was important to them.i was never rushed throughout the selection process. When I did select my choices....(I could have chosen everything) my order was brought to my table and I was left to enjoy the food. Whilst chatting with the staff I found out that it's a family run business where everyone in the family helped to make the food fresh every day & this blew my mind.
My only negative (which is a positive) is that there's too many options so I will be back to try 1 of everything! All the staff were helpful in explaining every element of each treat as if they were the chef themselves. Small touches like this make this my choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner in Margate!
I will be back and I recommend everyone come here next time you fancy a Greggs. This will make you rethink ever going to Greggs.

Read moreFirst time visiting after hearing good things. The food, drinks, and atmosphere were great — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the customer service left a poor impression.
It was a busy Bank Holiday and there were two small tables and one large table available. After ordering drinks, the two of us sat at the larger table. A member of staff approached — without saying hello or any form of greeting — and asked in a blunt and rather interrogative tone how many of us there were and whether we were eating. When we said we werent, they bluntly stated, “I will move you if a larger group comes in.”
I completely understand the logic — larger groups need larger tables — and I wouldn’t have minded moving at all. The issue wasn’t the request, but the way it was delivered. A more polite approach, with a question rather than a statement such as “Would you mind moving if a larger group comes in?” would’ve made all the difference.
It’s a shame, because everything else was really enjoyable. A little more warmth in customer interactions would really elevate the experience. Making people feel welcome, rather than...
Read moreI see that a lot of people have made bad reviews on here about staff attitude. I came here for the first time today and I think what it is, is a language or cultural barrier. Yes the attitude of the staff was a little "blunt" for want of a better word, but actually you know what, I prefer it. The staff here seemed relaxed and happy. I hate it when you go somewhere and the staff are saccharin sweet; I just want an authentic interaction with someone. Staff are on their feet all day, and I just want my coffee and pastry. I'd rather an authentic interaction than a false one. Too many people these days expect a performance from staff.
The beef pastry was great, very high quality and something I haven't tried before. Lovely and soft pastry.
The coffee was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. I'll be visiting...
