I tried this place on my own last night, as I was looking to take a party of 15 people there next month. Very poor experience and disappointed. The poppadoms were stale, onion salad had unwashed carrot 🥕 peel in it?? The main course tasted like the sauce was from a supermarket Jar and not cooked from scratch. The rice portion was a 3rd of a takeaway container and cold as was the main. Now the chapattis were very hot and appeared fresh which was surprising as the rest of the meal was very low standard. Family of 3 on a Saturday night, nice atmosphere friendly staff and great service. The restraunt is a step back to the 60/70's Ruby house which we liked but not everyone's taste. Beer very fare price. As for the food it was a real mix. Starters Onion bajais and samosa with a salad, tamarind and chilli sauce very nice. All lamb main dishes with plenty of tender Lamb. Buhna, Rogan and a Madras. Only issue is the Madras, this had very subtle flavours, nice but more of a Lamb Curry. Sides 2 pilau rice and 2 garlic nans. Sadly this was one of the worst Indian meals I have ever had… it says it’s award winning but I’m not sure how that can be so?! Had very high hopes for this one reading they have been in business for so many years but I suppose they have let things slip a lot since the start and the awards… it left me with a very bad stomach the next day.
