We visited on a Monday afternoon and the restaurant was busier than I had expected. It was a good sign, but I later realised that as it's the Trafford Centre, all restaurants were busy. We were served quickly, staff took our order, no fuss. We found ourselves a table towards the back of the restaurant but soon realised it was so cold in that area due to the air con blasting out cool air so decided to move, however all tables were taken so we ended up on the tall tables which have stools to sit on. This seating arrangement is cramped, your thighs will be touching the person's sat next to you. The music was twice as loud as it needed to be, which was really annoying, to top it off they play a genre of "cool" music, I'm not sure what the kids call it these days. Looking around, there were a couple of families, and most of the customers were young couples and teens. The food arrived within 10 minutes. We ordered two of the Full Flavour Fix meals between 3 of us. In one portion, the tenders were hot and fresh, whereas the wings and fries were warm. We received a mix of flats and drums, but they were far from freshly cooked. In the other meal, the tenders were cold but the bones less pieces and fries were hot. So the temperature of all the food was inconsistent and I noticed the way the sauce was applied was also very inconsistent. Some portions had excess sauce and others had just enough to coat the chicken. Claiming it's "made-to-order" must mean something different to Wingstop to what I think it means. I was disappointed with the wings. They're not breaded or coated in anything it seems, simply fried and doused in sauce. The quality of the meat is probably the worst I've ever had. The wings are small, and every piece had blood inside, which gives that horrible black mess in the meat and tastes disgusting. Some if the bones were broken. The meat itself wasn't fresh either. Considering this meal costs them less than £3 in ingredients and is sold at £13.50, I expected much better. Wings are the selling point of the restaurant and they have not mastered them at all. Very disappointing. The tenders and boneless pieces were better, but seriously nothing special. Basic breaded chicken, covered in the flavour of your choice. The variety of flavours on offer is good. I enjoyed the heat the mango habenaro gives, it's really spicy and burns your mouth and lips! The original sauce was my favourite, zingy, sour and lively. The Korean flavour was nice, too. I wasn't too keen on the Louisiana and Brazilian, I felt they lacked an oomph that the others had. I had the honey mustard and ranch sauce. These were pretty watery, cheap bulk made sauces that lacked flavour and depth. The honey mustard wasn't nice. The ranch was OK to add some moisture to your fries, which was definitely needed as they had an excessive amount of salt/flavouring thrown over them. Personally, I didn't mind the fries having so much flavouring on them, but it was excessive. The bottomless drink is a nice touch, and the drinks on offer were some I've never heard of. Lots of flavours to choose from, a variety of still and fizzy drinks. The dispenser at the front of the restaurant always had a queue and the one at the rear was quieter. Staff cleaned the tables regularly with a smile and came to ask if our food was OK. I didn't bother complaining about the food not being as hot as it should be, as it's a fast food establishment and there's no chef working that cares about the food after all. Overall, Wingstop could do a lot better. Start by paying a little more attention to your environment, training your staff to serve meals that are consistent, and definitely source a better supplier for your wings. I wouldn't choose to eat at...
Read moreCame based on a recommendation however I was rather disappointed. Firstly, the portion size for price was dreadful ....£13.80 gets you 3 tenders, 8 bitesize pieces of chicken & I'm genuinely trying to understand what part of the chicken was used as they were that small ! I will attach a photo. I've used my babies bottle lid for comparison.....and some chips ( again, not a full portion ) oh and a drink you have to buy separately! The only good thing was that the tenders weren't too bad but nothing amazing either. The blue cheese dip was really nice, and the mango sauce that accompanied my tenders. The children's menu could be improved as it isn't worth almost £6 at all.
Service wasn't the best at all, the drink we paid separately for was completely flat basically flavoured water no fizz at all that was both front and back vendors, we approached a staff member who had extremely long hair may I add no hair net, not one person wore a hair net ( caps but no nets ) but hair flowing and entering the kitchen shouldn't be allowed in a food place, anyway we approached her and we are still to this minute waiting for her to come back to us 😳 as we watched her doing not much but walk in kitchen, helped someone sprinkle a little salt on the chips then continued walking round with her arms folded is just not the best service at all. However we did call someone else who just so happened to be the manager and he had dealt with the problem and gave us an apology ( thank you ) personally i won't be back as in my opinion it was completely over rated and over priced and simply not worth it, I've ate much better food, better portion size and atmosphere elsewhere. One more positive....is that before you can order, they address allergies before which I thought was brilliant as not all food places...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Wingstop and indulging in their Full Flavor Fix, and I must say, it was an absolute treat for my taste buds. The experience was nothing short of fantastic, thanks to the remarkable flavors and outstanding quality of the food.
The Garlic Parmesan tenders were an undeniable standout from the Full Flavor Fix. These tenders were a true delicacy - perfectly cooked and coated with a rich and indulgent garlic parmesan glaze that was both creamy and savory. They are an absolute must-have for anyone visiting Wingstop, and they left an unforgettable impression on me.
Speaking of unforgettable, I have to mention the ranch sauce at Wingstop. It's safe to say that it's the best ranch sauce I've ever tasted. Creamy, flavorful, and with just the right tanginess, it elevated every bite to a new level. Whether it was paired with the tenders or used as a dip for the wings, it was an absolute delight.
For the wing flavors, we opted for the Original and Lemon Pepper. The Original was a classic choice that delivered that signature Wingstop taste - crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with a delightful blend of spices. The Lemon Pepper, on the other hand, were a bit underwhelming.
The overall experience at Wingstop was fantastic. The food was consistently delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. The menu's variety of flavors and options cater to different palates, making it a fantastic choice for anyone who loves wings and flavorful sauces.
In summary, Wingstop exceeded my expectations with its Full Flavor Fix. The Garlic Parmesan tenders are a must-try, and the ranch sauce is simply exceptional. Whether you're a fan of classic flavors or looking to explore new tastes, Wingstop's offerings are sure to satisfy...
