A grand food court within the Trafford Centre. This place is originally called Eastern Gates, but whenever you visit the food court at Trafford Centre, it always shows on the map as The Orient, which isn’t accurate.
There are renowned brands here, from KFC to popular pizza chains. There are also halal food options, but very limited. I went to Shere Khan Express, as it looked like the authentic Indian/Pakistani food I was after. The brands here seemed overpriced, maybe because of the location, but I wasn’t too impressed with the self-service facilities. All shops are self-service, no table service is provided. You carry your food and grab a seat as soon as one becomes available. I visited on a Monday, and it was already quite crowded. I can only imagine how packed it gets on weekends. There are cleaners who keep the area tidy and help reset tables quickly for the next guests. That said, with such high food prices, I’d recommend that each restaurant should also have their own dedicated cleaner (maybe they already do and I just didn’t notice).
