We booked for Sunday lunch here as a group of 11 on arriving at the pub the tables were all separate. We asked if we could put them together and they said yeah, this was just the beginning of a terrible experience. When booking we had said we were booking for Sunday dinner, they had no Sunday dinners left at 6pm no explanation given! One of our group ordered a red wine and a white wine was brought out, was fixed fairly quickly. We ordered our food and was told it would be brought out separately which was fine as we were having drinks. As the food started coming out it was disappointing. Steaks cooked badly and missing sides on 3 of the meals. When bringing this to the waitresses attention she was so rude huffing and puffing like we were a major inconvenience to her. The worst part was when one of the group started eating her vegetarian mushroom pie to find chicken in it. She was obviously very upset by this and brought this to the attention of the waitress who just took it away did not apologise at all. My friend had to go up to the bar and ask for a refund as she was to upset to let them cook her another and as she was the last one to be served an hour and half after the first person's food had arrived. The ones who did get there correct food all agreed the food was 'okay' in future I won't bother visiting a green king pub as the customer service is horrific and so is the food! I think you need to find staff who know what customer service is and can manage a smile.
