Ordered a traditional black pearl milk tea today. There are green tea and red tea (which means black tea) options on the menu. But the staff member didn't ask which tea I wanted. I said red tea and she misunderstood it as red beans... It would be great if the 'red tea' on the menu could be changed to 'black tea' so that non-Asian languages speakers, including the staff members, will be able to understand it lol.
Good that there's a hot drink option. No extra charge for that (some bubble tea shops do charge customers more for getting a hot drink).
The store was running out of large cups today. Not sure why there was no labels letting the customers know that only regular size was available (neither outside the store nor inside). It was pretty misleading because there were 'larger cups' next to the regular cups in store. The staff member said they were special cups (I forgot her exact wordings but I am guessing those cups were for specific drinks). Ended up I only knew that until I nearly completed the order and I decided to order a regular one as time has already been spent clarifying the order and there was a queue after us. I didn't want to waste time on ordering and ended up buying nothing. It would be great if the shop could let the customers know large size was not available or use the 'special cups' in replaced with the large cups.
Anyway, I am happy that I got a regular one because the black pearls are way too soft...
Read moreThe Actual boba is really good, it’s the staff that really need to get fired, well really only one of them. The asian girl with the moustache is so rude, I came in at 5:08 (shop closes at 5:30!!) and she starts whispering to her co worker how they’re closed and groaning about it and refusing the take our order while we awkwardly stood there. The other girl then took our order, she was really polite, and then the nasty one was just in such a mood the whole time and tossing the drink over the counter without a word. As soon as we walked out she slammed the door closed. Like, If you’re closing at 5 then why is everywhere saying open until half5?? even on the windows?? so rude...

Update: As I’m unable to reply to comments
A male worker (the only male worker that was working that day) was critiquing my order loudly to the lady who was making this,
As i was able to use this centimetres away from the door of the shop, im sure everyone else could
As I asked for bubble tea; with no tea as I have allergies, he proceeded the ask why anyone who order the drink without tea and laugh!
As someone who works in Public Services, I really don’t appreciate this.
My custom will not be...
