Castello Grill House — Restaurant in Wales

For starters we had Moutabel, which was not at all what we expected. It was a big mush, topped with herbs that tasted like pencil sharpener. 😬 Thr pita was too thin and didn't have any flavour. For mains we went for the chicken a la cream and the spicy shawarma dish. For sides we ordered Greek salad with no olives, but it came with olives and the herbs on top of it again like a pencil sharpener. We also ordered a side of fries. The atmosphere was nice and staff lovely, but both chicken dishes were huge and i could barely finish one. Minus the herb spices the meal was quite nice. I like jow the mushroom sauce went with both rice and chicken. The herbs really ruined the salad. The mocktails were both amazing, but when you go towards the end you can't get the juice through the straw because of the bits so it's a bit annoying, but...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Amazing! This was my first time dining at Castello Restaurant, and I was blown away! From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome with their warm and attentive service. Every single detail was perfect — the atmosphere was cozy yet elegant, the food was full of flavor, and the presentation was beautiful.

I tried several dishes, and each one was cooked to perfection. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their cooking. The flavors were incredible, and the portions were just right.

The service was top-notch — friendly, fast, and genuinely caring. It’s rare to find a place that combines amazing food with such wonderful hospitality.

We tried out this restaurant during our visit to Cardiff and we loved it. We ordered platter 1 which came with Chicken shish, lamb shish, chicken kofta, lamb kofta, chicken wings, lamb ribs, rice, fries and sweet potato fries. This came with bread and amazing sauces as a starter. The presention was amazing. We also tried out their Castello special smoothie (frozen mango and yogurt smoothie) and sunny beach mocktail and we loved it. The portions were generous and satisfying. The price was very reasonable for the food we had - very good value for money. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable.We also got some lovely tea at the end which was on the house. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely dine here again when i’m back to Cardiff. Thank you Castello...
