Coffee Pot — Restaurant in Wales

Not happy here. Had to wait ten mins to be served as only 1 person at counter, other customers push infront thinking you've been served. The person at the counter was polite and seemed not to have a care in the world even when I complained. So, we paid for 2 cakes costing £3.50 each besides other things like drinks but the size of the cakes were so minimal and small for the price, 1 was eaten and the other was left. I complained about the size of it and I got a load of rubbish from the older lady who came out of the back, and she clearly lied to me when I and my family member saw the counter person do differently. I got told by the older lady there is nothing they could do about the price and/or the size of the cakes. They never even offered to refund us. That lady was a bit stroppy to me and I am not happy with the way my complaint was dealt with. Will never go there again, ever. Prices are...

Disorganised setup with poor value for money food. Staff seemed overwhelmed when taking orders. For payment by card you need to go into the adjoining gift shop to pay for your food and then return to the cafe for the order to acknowledged and processed. When the orders came out of the kitchen they were out of sequence; providing drinks and food separately and some same order items going to people in other parties who arrived later. To top it all there was an argument going on in the kitchen at one stage. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place needs it.

The boy serving behind the counter was very pleasant and told us there would be a wait for food. He said it would be about 20 minutes.

50 minutes later a lack lustre microwaved bowl of soup arrived with a bog standard sandwich. What they were doing for that long is anyone's guess.

I might add this was a quiet ish Monday lunchtime, not a busy...
