I found this lovely cafe during a day trip to Porthcawl with my friends, and it was the highlight of our day! Nestled by the harbour, it's the first and only place in town that does both specialty coffee and great food. ๐What a gem! ๐
The cafe is newly opened, but it's already bustling with locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a lovely view of the harbour (especially when it's sunny!) โ๏ธ๐
The menu offers a variety of brunch options, from classic favorites like pancakes, baps, and eggs benedicts to patisserie options. The coffee menu itself has a wide variety of beans to choose from, prepared either with a V60, as a batch brew, or as an espresso. ๐ฅ๐ณ๐ฅโ
Everything we ordered was delicious, and the "Hardlines" valentine's special blend batch brew I had was top-notch. The staff was friendly and attentive, despite the busy lunch rush. ๐๐๐
One thing to note too is that the cafe is dog and kids friendly, which is a huge plus for families. There are also outdoor seating options which is great when it's busy. ๐ถ๐ถ
I highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Porthcawl, especially food and coffee lovers. It's a great spot to relax and enjoy a delicious brunch/lunch with a stunning view. I can't wait to...
ย ย ย Read moreAwful experience in this establishment this afternoon.. we are a family of 5 with 3 young( very well behaved ) children all under the age of 7 . As I was inside ordering cakes for the children the extremely rude young dark haired waitress approached my wife and kids and asked them to move because she didn't think we were ordering food or drinks from the cafe. The set up outside is very confusing, the bar next door has a similar name . When people are slightly stressed with young children and just want to sit down to have a drink and gather their thoughts there is no need to be spoken to like this . The same rude waitress then came over to our table to give us a verbal because our children had taken a free shiny sticker.. ( if they don't want children to take them then they shouldn't have them on display, this is like putting a big red button out and telling a child not to press it! )
The cake was dry and had obviously been sat out all day on the counter top and was over priced.
We would highly recommend that any families avoid this place...
ย ย ย Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. I visited this coffee shop yesterday with my two children they picked out cakes and I bought a can of water (I donโt drink hot drinks or alcohol). We sat outside on their benches my family then came and sat with me, only to be approached and asked to move because I supposedly hadnโt bought anything. I explained I had, and even showed the can of water, but the response from the owner was shockingly rude: โA can of water, that's only ยฃ1.50!โ โ as if that didnโt count.
I reminded them I had also bought two cakes, but was still told that I hadnโt spent โenoughโ to sit there. It was incredibly embarrassing and completely uncalled for. Apparently, unless you spend a certain amount, you're not welcome even if youโre a paying customer with children.
Totally greedy, disrespectful, and a horrible way to treat people. I was totally distressed for the amount I spent. A sale is a sale, no matter how much it is. I will never return and wouldnโt recommend this place to anyone who values basic kindness or...
