Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Wales

This place is a real shame. Costa is a well known company with a decent business idea. However, this particular one is not up to standard.

Visited a couple of times recently. Held off leaving a review the first visit. Guessed it was a off day for the staff. Visited again today. It was exactly the same.

You order a peach ice tea and get a warm drink with no ice and the flavour consistency of cardboard.

The service is slow. When you're stood waiting your eyes wonder about. You end up looking behind the counter area where they make the drinks. It's absolutely filthy, not been properly cleaned or deep cleaned in a long time. There surfaces have had a quick wipe each day by the looks of it. But clearly missing key areas. The cupboards are all hanging off. The wood is clearly rotten, the silicone sealant around the back clearly has mould growing on it. And this is just what you can see from one side of the counter. The floors are dirty and again you can clearly see where they have had a quick mop past and missed other areas.

The staff are pleasant enough. But renovation and some hygiene is definitely needed. I'm surprised the store manager hasn't had a good kick up the backside for allowing it to slip so far.

I enjoy my casta coffee so wen am visiting a town in September in my job am all over the country so i called in this one strange away i could see the window needed cleaning are cleaner otherwise OK not the best one iv walk in to , on my second viseted October 13 22 i called in Costa coffee twice 13 /14 October iv been a customer of cost coffee for over 20 years & I would said I have never been treated so badly the first day I went in I asked for coconut milk coffee & the lady said she had to put a letter c on the lid, i usually ask the staff not to wich they reply with saying no problem are I put a lid on myself this lady who is the manager was aggressively brought her face forward , she was that angry she went red in the face showing all her teeth & ask me to level so I left , went in second day I ask the woman in question to leve the lid of were she ask me to leave or she well call security, the only thing am happy about is that am glad am not married to her , may be its because iv commented on the non cleanliness of shop , I hope her skills improve in life & I hope her private life is OK may be she need a...

Absolutely filthy place. Walked in and was greeted by a pleasant girl who took our order. Went to grab a table and noticed that most of the tables were covered in half full mugs, dirty plates etc. Asked the girl for a cloth to wipe the table and she told us "not to worry, I'll be over to clean it up". She then only spoke to call us over to collect our order. I'd like to say that she was rushed off her feet and it was obvious why her and the other 2 members of staff were happy that the place looked like someone had rolled a grenade in, but I'd be lying. It was quiet so there was no reason that 9 tables were covered in plates, food, trays etc. People were trying to sit down but having to move full trays of other customers leftovers to make room. How does a place that has 3 members of staff behind a counter, not all doing something, leave tables that looked like a coach party had just left? Shocking.
