The owner has put a lot of effort into a visually nice space, but has neglected the acoustics of a much larger space than the original cafe.

The kitchen is more exposed, so you get the kitchen clatter ringing in your ears, there are far more free standing chairs than the original cafe, which coupled with the larger space, you get chair shuffling sounds all the time. Additionally, the sound system is playing music to such a level, that you can only presume they are trying to drown out the former 2 noise sources.

The "cafe" has morfed into a place that would better serve as a chinsy wine bar.

It's just too damn loud. Bring back the original cafe.

On a plus note, the food is as...

We usually go to the old dragon cafe but the new one has now opened. Its a beautiful cafe with the same menu as the old cafe. The staff are so lovely and very helpful . They have genuine smiles. My daughter had a sandwich which she really liked but would have preferred butter to margarine and a little garnish on the side. I had veggie sausages, mash, onion gravy and peas, most of which was nice. However the peas were very hard and there were far too many . The decor is really fab but the music was too loud and i guess not to many peoples taste. It hindered with the overall atmosphere. So saying we will definitely go there...

I recently visited the Dragon Café in Bridgend and had a wonderful experience! The café's warm and inviting atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal or a casual get-together with friends.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, all of which are reasonably priced. I particularly enjoyed the Dragon's Special Stir-Fry – it was bursting with flavour and cooked to perfection. The portions are generous, ensuring you are satisfied and happy.

The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service with a smile. They went out of their way to accommodate dietary preferences, which I...

Very surprised with the quality of breakfasts here. We popped in for a weekend breakfast for the first time a couple of weeks back. Excellent selection available and they cater for vegetarians too. Spotlessly clean....5 star hygiene rating at the time of writing this....and delicious, well-priced food! I would highly recommend if you're looking for a decent Full English Breakfast that's not going to break the bank.

Absolutely cracking cooked breakfast! We drive 10 miles to have a breakfast there. They are on the ball. You don't have to wait long for your food. It's very popular, even on a Sunday which is when we go. People also come there for cooked dinners on Sunday. There is always a steady stream of happy customers. 👌😋
