Location ⭐️⭐️⭐️ On the high street at Beaumaris, it's perfect if you're on holiday there, not so great if you're not. But I was, so a strong score here Interior ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Assuming this used to be a bank and they have left some really nice features such as the safes to highlight the fact. But they whole place felt newly decorated and the furniture was really comfortable Service ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The team member who served us was new but she was super friendly and whilst having to ask her buddy quite a few questions she served us quickly. We had our noisy dog with us and all the staff were super welcoming of the little devil. Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The cake slices are massive and full of flavour, clearly made with care by hand. The lotus rocky road was top 👌 but the blueberry and lemon cake knocked my socks off! So much citric punch 👊 Price ⭐️⭐️⭐️ They are an independent cafe so prices are not high street cheap but for a treat on holiday, perfectly acceptable pricing. Wouldn't stop me returning Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really strong local cafe with a welcoming team and fantastic cakes. Would highly recommend if you're in the area

First impression was great as the cafe has lovely decor and serves the trusted union coffee. But everything went downhill from the till point... There was special board at the till offering a coffee and carrot/almond cake for £4.50, upon ordering the lady turned it away and said that offer no longer available. She also refused my order of an affogato with annoyance, saying that they no longer serve ice cream - I wasn’t aware of this as no where in the cafe or menu mentioned. When my alternative order - piccolo arrived I was in shock, it was pale, milky, lukewarm and same size as the cappuccino my friend had ordered- despite advertising it as a 6oz beverage as I didn’t want a large milky drink. When i queried about the drink they were confrontational and acted like nothing was wrong with the drinks. They did offer to add another shot of coffee in though. The staffs were also openly complaining about other customers. Overall a very surreal experience accompanied with poor coffee and bizarre service.

We called in today during our visit to Beaumaris. We had a piece of quiche and salad wich was quite nice. We also had a bacon and sausage bun which was good. We also had a chocolate cake slice and a scone. Both were quite nice. The reason for the low rating is because when we were leaving we order 2 more cakes for take away, and we saw the staff handling it with their hand which seemed unhygienic. Also we were absolutely fuming when we came home and realised the red velvet cake we had bought take away had mold on it. Needless to say it went straight to the bin, so an absolute waste of our money. It also made us ask/think if the food that we had there, although tasting good was safer for consuming and won't make us feel sick How is it possible in today's world being offered a moldy cake For this reason although originally was happy with our experience there, I would never recommend it after this

We visited Jollys today as it is dog friendly and the patisserie counter looked appetising. Whilst waiting for our order to arrive we overheard two neighbouring tables complaining their orders were wrong. Our coffee and cake order arrived correctly along with the glass of water my friend had requested. However, having already taken a drink, she noticed the glass was not just dirty but absolutely filthy. Worse still there was some dubious white globules floating around in the water. I took the glass to the counter where five young members of staff were hovering behind. Upon asking who was in charge I was met with blank stares whilst they looked at one another - evidently there was no senior member of staff on duty. I pointed to the glass and said that it was disgusting. Eventually a young dark haired man stepped up to apologise whilst the others stood by and sniggered. I only wish I had taken a photo of the glass of water - it looked like the remnants of a five day vase of flowers. The owners of this place seriously need to get a handle on their business. They are charging top prices but cleanliness is a given in a food establishment whatever the price. NOT...

We visited Jolly's for breakfast this week on this basis that it looked nice from the outside and the A boards said it had good views. Not wrong there, a lovely view from the back windows. That, unfortunately is the only thing going for it. The staff were scruffy and not very nice. The cakes seemed old, not as if they had been there all night but for most of the week. There wasn't much choice on the menu and the cake fridge didn't have a full stock - maybe we visited on an off day but we found it quite disappointing to pay 20 quid for two coffees and two stale cakes. The table seemed dirty and the toilet facilities not much better. This is a shame because it has a prime position in Beaumaris and it's a bit of a let down. I'm not in the habit of leaving any reviews but we left feeling robbed at the fact we had spent that much a two bits of old cake. We'll just bring our own and sit on the actual front in future rather than looking at it through a dirty and rotting window frame. Sorry but major let down. Sure there's better around town or you could do better yourself. Leaving this review so others...
