Read moreStayed here for 1 night with my partner & also my Father & his wife. |The manager checked us in and showed us to our room. Cannot fault how friendly she was & also the locals in the bar… not what used to from down south ;) ha! ||I enjoyed our stay but only gave 4 stars as I feel that if my points were actioned it would really enhance the guest stay. ||- our room was immaculate however the full length mirror was pointless to use as there was a real lack of light. The floor lamp and ceiling light were too far away so a mirror light above would be great|- pillows were not hotel pillows. Unfortunately these were cheap and very limp|- the bed was large but due to the mattresses (which are your typical hotel ones which are zipped together) being too soft & maybe too old you roll into one another during the night|- bathroom was immaculate, but the shower was dreadful. |The shower head did not stay in it’s holder, the pressure was non existent both in evening & morning & the temperature would consistently switch to luke warm to scolding. ||Breakfast in the morning seemed a bit unorganised. Staff member consistently walked past us after a friendly greeting but no offer of breakfast until we asked to order. ||When breakfast came it was a good portion size (we all a had full English). |However the food was cold and served on freezing cold plates. |Sauces had to be requested twice as did some toast that was missed off. |However, this was rectified. I’d advise not to serve the toast already buttered as mine was spread far too thick. And maybe just be pre attentive re ensuring guests are fed & watered in...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night at this dog friendly bar and hotel. After having a leisurely 4 hour walk along the coast at Beaumaris - which was fab and good fun for a springer loves swimming and running. We then checked into Bold Arms about 4.30pm. It happened to be during happy hour so we decided to have a drink or two! We were served by a very friendly and cheerful barman called Malcolm. We then decided to have our tea here as well after seeing the reviews online about the food. We ordered a fish and chip meal which consisted of an enormous fish, a basket of chips, a little dish of mushy peas and tartar sauce, bread and a lovely big pot of yorkshire tea - what more could you ask for! This was prepared by Hannah (the host), it was delicious - many thanks :). Our room was generous in size with a good sized bathroom and shower. They provide you with a dog bed for your fur baby. We had a wonderful sleep on the comfy bed and it was so quiet during the night. For breakfast we opted for a bacon toasted sandwich with a big pot of tea. This was served on lovely bread and full of bacon which was delicious. We had a nice chat with Hannah and her mum before we left. They are so friendly here. Beaumaris is a lovely place to visit and made all the more enjoyable, staying at the Bold Arms. It is good value for an overnight stay and you pay separately if you choose to have a breakfast. We would...
