The woman running the cafe is verbally abusive to her staff.
A member of staff took an order to the wrong table, and the manager stormed into the kitchen and started shouting extremely aggressively at the member of staff for taking the food to the wrong table.
Her shouting was very loud and easily heard by the entire cafe, it was a very uncomfortable experience.
This was clearly an honest mistake and a system needs to be created to reduce the likelihood of it happening, not threatening your staff and intimidating them.
I sincerely hope her staff are aware of their rights and that they can report this behaviour to the HSE and seek advice from ACAS. You do not have to tolerate bullying in the workplace.
The food was good, your staff are your best asset, and the manager is the downfall and reason I will not be returning.
Please consider your actions and the intimidating impact they are having on your staff...
Read moreI was excited to try this restaurant but unfortunately my experience fell extremely short of expectations. The food was average at best and I can’t help but feel that the quality of it was affected by the stressful environment created by the manager.
Through the visit, we witnessed the manager being verbally abusive and intimidating toward her staff in the kitchen, which made the atmosphere extremely tense. The swearing and aggression is simply NOT ok for the customers and employees alike. I have to mention that the managers cousin who served us was extremely lovely and accommodating, doing her best to try and distract us from the bullying we were hearing coming out from the kitchen.
We left the restaurant feeling extremely uncomfortable and shocked.
We will not be returning until the manager creates a more respectful and supportive environment for the staff which are vital to the...
Read moreHaving owned my own restaurant for 3 years, I understand the pressure and stress that's involved. I don't expect to walk into a restaurant that has it's opening hours on Google and Facebook, with no special changes made for a special occasion. To be greeted with a person clearly not coping and having no customer service skills, to be told to get out, as there is a private function. My advice would be, to put a sign on your restaurant door letting customers know there is a private function going on. Just because the door says closed means nothing, alot of shop owners forget to turn the sign to open/closed on the door. Also I would advise for you to change your attitude too, doesn't hurt to smile and be nice, especially when you are clearly the owner/manager of...
