I never rant on here but I’m going to have to so The Nags Head At Wrexham understand how horrified and upset I was today after my visit. Myself and my 7 1/2 month son went for lunch, I asked if they could heat his lunch up for me which I was told ā€˜No!’ When I asked why she said ā€˜well what if we do it too hot?’ I responded ā€˜every restaurant we take Finley too offers this service, pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds (as I understand they have more powerful microwaves than we do at home), I would obviously check the temperature of the food before giving it to my son and if it needed to cool down then I would leave it for a moment’. She still said no! I had to try to use some water to heat his lunch but as most parents know this isn’t the best way and Finley likes his food hot. He wouldn’t eat it, he got upset as it was still cold and was sick. As a parent I was disgusted in the lack of care or understanding given by the member of staff. I had a sachet of fruit that he usually has for his pudding so that’s all he could have for his lunch then. I had already ordered food for myself there, if I had known they didn’t care about my child (maybe because he wasn’t eating off their menu) I wouldn’t have bothered. I have been attending Nags Head Wrexham for years but I WILL NOT be going back. I urge parents of small children not too either. As stated every restaurant and cafe we have attended (and we visit a lot during the week as I am on maternity) have been so helpful and understanding, this is why I am so shocked by their...

On Christmas eve me and my partner booked a meal for 6.15pm so we arrived and yes Christmas eve it was busy as you would expect however I've been in marsdens before on several occasions and there was a piece of paper on table with our name on it however could not sit at table as was surrounded by a party of drinkers a man sat at table and coats etc we asked at bar and yes bar person asked people to let us sit down which happened only to be surrounded again could not move I was cibstantly being banged in back as this table had been placed four feet from bar we asked to be moved and was told its Christmas eve what did we expect we found another table which was in the eating area near kitchen which was pleasent happy enough We ordered food prawn and the cocktail followed by steak pie Prawn cocktail came out Prawns was icey cold and the tiny amount of sauce had Dissintigrated into water coming out of prawns was not pleasent Then pie came out now pie was ment to have been puff pastry however it had been microwaved to within an inch of edible knife nor fork could break through the top The bottom was soggy and actually stuck to plate so only filling could actually be consumed whether it was new staff in kitchen or staff doing too many jobs at once I do not know however I was left feeling very deflated as my partner had eaten here before and recommended the Nags head But I shall not return to this...

I have never had a dodgy meal at the Nags Head. So yesterday I took my sister for a meal, which was absolutely beautiful. I have to say that we wanted to make alterations to the items we chose off the menu. I wanted mine with jacket potato and salad and my sister wanted hers with mashed potato and gravy. This was absolutely no trouble to the helpful staff. So today I went again with two friends. One friend had the Chicken and bacon salad, and was thrilled with it. Myself and my other friend chose the golden menu (3 courses for £6.50). We expected the courses to be small for that price, and of course they were slightly smaller, but absolutely perfect considering we were havin 3 courses so cheaply. The tomato and basil soup was to die for. Followed by a 4oz gamon egg chips and peas. Then we chose fruit cobler and custard. The staff were so helpful and friendly and several came running when I had a choking fit. They produced a glass of water for me to sip and three of them took it in turns to slap my back. I hasten to add I just breathed in as I swollowed, so it wasn't anything actually stuck in my throat. This is a homely, friendly, busy pub, with value for money meals, and they are always piping hot, and reasonably priced. We'll done"The Nags Head" Mount...

We were both there for support, and also me as the driver, with the 3rd one (male) being a member of the Port Sunlight Seadogs (Shantie Singers/Musicians), Wirral, as they were booked to perform at the folk club. The venue was lovely, the staff were very friendly, helpful, considerate and obliging. The atmosphere was welcoming. Great selection of drinks, but sadly, with limited free time, we didn't sample the food, although what I saw did look very appetising. I would recommend giving it a visit if you're in the area and, if possible, I suggest you book a table in advance for food. Thursday night, there's a folk club upstairs, and it was also busy downstairs! We had a great time, great venue, lovely staff, and of course, Great Entertainment, as always, from the Port Sunlight Seadogs. Look them up on the Internet, or you could try TicTok!

Called in here for some lunch as we recommend it. Just catching up on some reviews. Nice lovely pub still with a traditional pub feeling nestled away in Wrexham centre. Can't fault the service or the food. Great place grab a bite to eat and we'll does what it's ment to. Nice atmosphere very friendly staff couldn't find fault at all. Only thing I would say is carpark quite small and tight. However worth parking up and a few min walk. When working or visiting Wrexham again I'd definitely call back in.

What amazing service; nothing was too much bother. My mother-in-law has very specific dietary requirements and they were easily accommodated. I also asked if they could strip the corn off the corn-on-the-cob for our 3 year old son before the meal came out and sure enough they did! Generous portions, hot food and attentive staff (some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time)! Definitely worth coming along for a meal (also be sure to check out the desserts while you’re here)!
