Topo Gigio — Restaurant in Wales

Small and intimate restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very nice :) the bread they gave to start was really nice with butter. The risotto was VERY delicious, I highly recommend it if it happens to be the special that day. The meatballs were okay, I expected them to be more flavourful but just wasn’t for our taste.

The braised beef was so tender and so flavourful and delicious. The vegetables that came with it were also cooked perfectly!! Highly recommend this main dish. The sauce on the bolognese was also very delicious, but once it was mixed in with the pasta, the flavour was watered down and became a bit bland for our taste.

For dessert, I ordered a cappuccino and a homemade tiramisu. They were both very tasty and complimented each other well! I recommend ordering them!!

Once again Topo Gigio has top marks. It a shame that I cannot give a 100points out of 10. Cheryl and her crew are so welcoming. Once shown to our table we ordered a bottle of cold water and were given the wine list and menu. Bottle of wine came as we perused the various menu. We ordered Parma ham and melon to start. Absolutely delicious. The melon was at its best and the Parma ham was so fresh and plentiful. Our main course was fillet steak a la Pepe with gorgeous fresh vegetables. The sauté potatoes to die for.
