Uncommon Ground Coffee Roastery — Restaurant in Wales

First time experience of this coffee shop on Cathedral Road With my children, an eight-year-old and a 18 month old in a pushchair. Access was made easy by a ramp into the shop and the seating area was well spaced out and Plenty of natural light. Unaware of the type of coffee and snacks served here I asked for suggestions from the staff. Kieran was really helpful and pointed out available options. Decided with a cappuccino and Panna raisin., and a chocolate brownie for my daughter. Both coffee and ordered cakes were delivered quickly to the table. The pan raisin tasted Delicious and what was the surprise was the unique texture and unique taste of the chocolate brownie. What was a surprise though was the perfect aroma and taste of the coffee. I did not realise that the coffee was freshly roasted and Served on site. The bill came to £9 which I thought was very reasonable for such high-quality of food and drink And will not hesitate to make a revisit. Lovely interior, good coffee and moist muffins! Can't fault the atmosphere, coffee and food. I think their pricing structure needs a tweak. All cakes are the same price, from a tiny brownee to a huge slice of a round cake. So small things feel bad value . Their coffee menu rounds to one decimal place , a latte is "3.3" for example. But their food menu is two. Cakes are "3.25". My mathematical brain doesn't like this lack of consistency! Cool modern coffee shop...

I thought I had found my new coffee shop but then I was given a takeaway cup at 3.30 as I learnt they close 2 hours earlier than a competitor just two minutes down the road. That broke my daily habit and I don't go anymore. Shame, really. Seems short-sighted? A couple of people I know have said the same thing. "It's a better coffee shop, but they kick you out in the middle of the day". Fingers crossed this...
