Came into store today with my 8 year old daughter who was in town spending her birthday money and she wanted to try a frappicino (no coffee) and the young lady with very light blonde hair who was serving us was absolutely amazing. She made my daughter the most amazing frap and even gave her a cake lolly after I explained we were having a 'princess day'. I didn't catch the ladies name but I just wanted to say thank you so much, my daughter was so happy and I was so grateful to you giving her a bit of special treatment as we had actually had a really bad week due to an illness in our family so I wanted today to be all about her due to her birthday not going as planned and sidetracked due to the family emergency/illness. And what a start to our princess day it was, so again thank you so much. Really was the beat customer service I've received in an awful long time!
Here's a photo of my princess on her princess day today, absolutely ecstatic with her extra sweet frapp and cake lolly 😍

Read moreSo my daughter aged 9 is starting to recognise the cool names shall we say 😳 Starbucks being just one. To me it was a very over priced, crowded, unfriendly staff experience. I get it's fast paced but it was herrendoous in there they wasn't Overly busy with customers there were lots of staff in each others way more. Stressed me out just watching them!! So my daughter had a chocolate pretzel frappucino thing yes was delicious, myself a latte which I had to put 2 sugars in & I don't tend to have sugar in this choice of drink it was so strong from there. & my husband Americano he said it was enjoyable but he's a coffee drinker anyway. I think the smell of coffee shops are inviting 😋 The nice part of counter where the cakes/ biscuits are all looked edible yumyum but the prices were ridiculous. Were just a basic family wanting to enjoy food & drink but not with extortionate price tags. My daughter was happy but she don't understand fully the prices 😕 it's defo once in a...
Read moreI don't keep coffee at home; I love it too much! One large, strong cappuccino sets me up for the day. When the gums tingle and the heart steps up a beat I know I've had a good one.
Starbucks charge £3.10, (yes £3.10!) for their large cappuccino. Unlike Costa, at this location at least, you cannot see it being made; it is put together behind a high counter. At Costa you can see the double shot going in; you can watch the skimmed milk froth being steamed.
I ended up with a large mug of insipid frothy coffee that felt like a chore to finish. (I couldn't leave it after it had cost so much!) They could have made it with a teaspoon of instant granules for all I know. And was it skimmed milk? I wouldn't like to say. The only redeeming feature of it was that it was hot.
On top of all that, I had to drink it perched up on a high bar stool/chair because none of the three 'baristas?!' behind the counter could be bothered to go and clear tables.
