Party of ten plus three under 15s after 1900hrs. We were given a table without prebooking which was impressive. Two to three people ordered starters but we asked them to serve it all together with the main. I wasn't watching the clock but we were already getting uncomfortable while waiting for the food. I ordered the 10oz steak coz I enjoyed it last time, but they had none. I went for the carbonara. I wasn't impressed with the carbonara. I found the portion small. It actually looked like a starter. The Marinara portion was twice the size. I found it nice in the mouth but way too salty compared to carbonaras I've had from other restaurants. THE NIGHTMARE started when we were about to pay our bill. We were asking to pay separate and others were going to use their Blue Light card. The kind waiter said," it will take some time but if you queue at the til by the bar, I'll sort it out". The lady manager (I think her name was Alina) then intervened. She was having a go at the waiter and at my friend in front of the queue. I was hearing : "I can't use your Blue Light card discount for every transaction"-if we dined in separately, won't she have to use it separately? "You came in without prebooking and disturbed my kitchen"- this made me so uncomfortable. They could have refused us from the start. We were polite and respected the venue. Willing to pay our bill and follow house rules but the manager didn't need to speak to us like that making us feel uncomfortable.
Intimite dining maybe but party of ten and above, make sure you pre book and state your requests clearly before you even start looking...
Read moreTerrible experience will never go back to walsall restaurant. The supervisor ( waitress informed me) Indre served myself and my son. She had a somber disposition to begin with. Seemed upset I was using a Groupon voucher. Had to go to counter to order drinks, was met with icy glances from indre and her manager equally unfriendly woman. Food was awful chicken was so tough I could have used it as a shuttle cock. Beans weren’t even par blanched they were seated till black on the griddle. Sautéed potatoes weren’t even cooked as hard as the rock in Blackpool. Indre attempted to punch my voucher in and failed. I’d set my phone on the counter in front of me magnifying voucher code. Indre then walked off with my phone. She didn’t ask she simply waltzed off with my property. Obviously nobody has taught this woman social etiquette. When attempting to retrieve my phone from Indre she and her equally ice cold manager didn’t even look at me. I asked the back of their heads for my phone back please x 3. They both continued to not acknowledge me or look at me. Indre told me she was using it for the code yet was swiping through my photos. I took my phone from her. Her manager glared at me. Indre and her manager shouldn’t be working in this industry. They have no etiquette warmth or manners. They lack basic social skills and have as much charm as a cadaver. I have informed all my friends who are also chefs to spread the word about Bella Italia and their despicable food and appalling service. Will never eat here again. Place is always empty, can see why. Avoid...
Read moreThe BEST dining experience we’ve had in a long time, all thanks to Rosie! Wow, where do I even begin? Our visit to Bella Italia was absolutely amazing, and the biggest reason for that was Rosie. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome, comfortable, and genuinely looked after. It’s rare to meet someone who has such natural warmth and energy, Rosie made the entire evening feel special from start to finish. She was friendly without being fake, attentive without hovering, and had that perfect balance of professionalism and personality. She knew the menu inside out, made great recommendations, and even managed to keep the whole table smiling with her amazing attitude and sense of humour. It honestly felt like we were being looked after by a friend who actually cared about our experience — and that’s not something you can fake. Rosie went above and beyond in every way, and it didn’t go unnoticed. Even small details, like remembering our drinks, checking in at just the right moments, and making sure dietary needs were handled smoothly, she nailed it all. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxed, but Rosie is what made it memorable. In a world full of rushed and robotic service, she is a rare gem. Bella Italia, I hope you know how lucky you are to have her on your team, we will absolutely be back again, and it’s 100% because of the service we received from her. Thank you, Rosie — you turned a regular dinner into a five-star...
