Chopsticks — Restaurant in Warwick

I’ve been meaning to write a review for a while, I’ve been enjoying the food for a few years on random occasions, mainly as a takeaway with family, but the odd times we’d go in and eat the buffet. I believe recently the restaurant was refurbished, so I decided to try it out eating inside the restaurant. I can honestly say, the food was outstanding, I think it had just reopened a few days prior and wasn’t much custom, but I don’t think many people were aware it had reopened, and i don’t think anyone has communicated the reopening using social media etc but i may be wrong. Anyways, back to the food, fresh and served within minutes of ordering, as this is al la carte you order a few dishes eat time to the table, and it was fast and efficient service full of flavour. I decided to even try new things on the buffer menu, and you can even create certain dishes using a meat or veg of your choice. I tried out a sea spices sauce with beancurds, absolutely WOW! salt and pepper wings, duck pancakes, you name it, immensely flavourful and full of umami. Yesterday, I had the privilege again of enjoying a chopsticks takeaway with the family this time instead of friends, and even after delivery, everything tasted fresh, hot and beautiful. Ate there for the first time this weekend gone whilst on a visit to St. Nicolas Park. We opted for the £15.90 ahead all-U-can eat menu (not buffet).

The food came out freshly cooked and piping hot and full of flavour. It's true that most of the appetitiser we're fried (including the ribs), but since it's freshly served it was fine.

The way I would describe the food is good/superior takeaway food, if it was boxed up to go it would be like any other takeaway food and if you bear that in mind you won't be disapointed.

Others have states that the service was bad. I have to disagree. We requested food cooked in a particular way and certain ingredients to be omitted and they we're happy to oblige. The thing you need to remember about Chinese service is that... There isn't any😋. You can't compare it to European standards cause it simply doesn't exist. Go to Hong Kong/China and then compare it to those in the UK and you'll realise it's actually not that bad (no making you share tables with strangers, no telling you to hurry up or giving you the Bill halfway thru your food).

Ordered food today took an hour to arrive , have eaten in regularly before and always been okay never amazing just okay .

Today the food was just so far from being okay . Very dry crispy duck and pancakes so dry it’s like flakes in your fingers and rice stoggy and so salty it felt like grit in your teeth .

Salt and pepper chips were under was like they was fried in a fryer for 2 minutes so still undercooked inside but then put in a wok and then overcooked on the outside .

They have just had a refurb but have upped prices but not Quality definitely not worth the £50 for

We did receive a free item but there was a reason it was free , unrecognisable meat in a crisp batter the was made days ago seems like left under light for about a day so dry I could use to re brick my garage .

Did call up and the guys said since I have received the food they can’t do anything about it 😂 as if I was to know the food will be crap before I had it . Will go through my bank to claim the money back . Never make reviews but had...
