The sweets in the shop are nice and really tasty—I can’t deny that. However, the curry is a completely different story, and I honestly didn’t want to write this review, but this is now my second bad experience.
The first time, I bought a small chicken curry and took it home to have with rice. As soon as I opened it, it had a strange smell, and the taste was just as bad. I stopped eating immediately. Unfortunately, I ended up with a stomach issue and was sick for two days. After that experience, I decided I would never buy curry from there again.
But yesterday, I was very hungry, and the curry looked fresh, so I decided to give it another try. I took it home, added it to rice, and heated it in the microwave. Even from the microwave, I could smell something off. I still tried a small bite—and I instantly regretted it. The taste was terrible, and I ended up vomiting. That’s it for me—I’ll never buy curry from this shop again. I really don’t understand why others haven’t reported this.
Also, I want to mention something about the staff. One of the employees working there has been quite rude on multiple occasions. One time, I walked in around 8:50 PM (the shop closes at 9:00 PM), and he was cleaning. I asked politely for some sweets, waited around 10 minutes for a response, and he finally told me the shop closes at 9:00. I understand that he may have been trying to wrap up and go home, but his tone was not friendly at all.
Another time, I went in again—I’m not a regular customer, so I was a bit unsure about the different sweets. While I was selecting, I asked him whether a certain sweet was made of milk. He didn’t seem happy about the question and instead asked me how many I wanted. When I asked to add two more sweets to the box, he replied that the box was full. What confused me was that there were three different box sizes—small, medium, and large—and he hadn’t even asked which size I wanted. I had already mentioned that I wanted to try a variety, so I expected a bit more patience and help.
Overall, while the sweets are good, the curry has made me sick twice, and the customer service needs serious...
Read moreNot many Indian sweet shops in Leamington so these guys have got a monopoly. Much more variety in places like Coventry. I recently used Millenium to order vegetarian samosas and fish pakoras twice. First time round, the samosas were 5/5. However the fish pakoras were refried and consisted mainly of oily, food coloured batter. This is not how to make a fish pakora lads! I complained about this to the owner, telling him I'd spent £50 and wasn't happy. He just said he would look into it and took no action. I was expecting him to make me a fresh batch. Not too much to ask is it?
My second order from Millenium was just vegetarian samosas. This time round the samosas had been refried!. Awful. This place is hit n miss with samosas and consistently bad with fish pakoras. Customer service is non existent.
The other thing, they charge £5 delivery fee for delivering less than...
Read moreIm very disappointed with millenium Sweethouse. We have ordered our favourite korma and tikka and pesh naarn. Korma was spicy - very odd as its meant to be sweet dish and tikka was over spiced. Pesh naarn had some sort of spice in and it was meant be be sweet. I have called the restaurant to find out if we got someone elses order. They have offered to cook another 2 meals. Took about 20 min. Delivery man came to the door and checked the bag. Most of the naarn was missing as we were hungry and he said he wont replace the naarn as its almost gone. I have tried our meal by dipping my finger in but both were exactly the same as before. Straight into bin with them. I only recommend this place if you want to have your evening ruined by incopetent place like millenium...
