PizzaExpress — Restaurant in Warwick

My daughter was given foul tasting tap water. She stopped drinking it saying it tasted funny and asked me to taste it. I tasted it and it was like drinking out of a swimming pool. We informed the waiter and asked him where he got it from and he confirmed it came from the tap. I asked him to taste it which he would not and he refused to get another glass of water for my daughter. A waitress came acrosvs and got us another water that tasted normal. The waiter ran away and asking the waitress why are they service bleached glass to customers she said to leave it as the problem was solved. This rudeness and complete lack of care if they have a batch of glasses that have been contaminated, or to even check this out made me get the manager. The manager took all information from our table, then went to his staff to find out their side. He returns to say that the waiter refused to replace the water as he thought that he was being accused of serving my daughter bleach. This was not what was said and complete lies by the staff. He offered us 50% off and didn't even check the dirty water or where it had come from, so it can be served to the next child or adult in the hope they drink the whole glass. This shocked me and I felt this was completely unacceptable. We refused his offer of 50% as the staff lies will just become acceptable saying we did because we wanted a discount, and this is not the case. All that was asked for if they check the source of water and what they are washing their glasses as it tastes of bleach, so no one is served the same. This did not happen. Probably the only time my family and I have wanted to walk out of a restaurant! It was awful service, we were totally forgotten about. There was only us and another party in the restaurant and order placing, drinks and food took a very long time. We ordered dessert and after 25 minutes of waiting (and noticing the manager was on her break leaving a very obvious new waitress to tend to everything), we felt the need to ask what was going on. The staff in the kitchen also suddenly reappeared…The service before this wasn’t great but this pushed it over the edge. After 5 minutes, our desserts came out which have obviously just been grabbed from the fridge. Our teas were wrong and things were missing eg sauce from some of the desserts.

We had dinner on Sunday as we had tickets for a show. We booked early so we had 2 hours to eat which I thought would be plenty. It took an hour and 15 minutes to bring our drinks and starters. That was only after I complained. The food was good but we had to rush eating it. The waitress mentioned we got free dough balls if you downloaded the app which we did but then as we had a voucher for the dinner we ended up having to pay for dough balls we didn't want. We were sat right by the kitchen and it was so noisy and really was very unpleasant especially while waiting for so long. The waitress brought the bill at the end and had overcharged us on the bill. The whole experience was rubbish to be honest. We were stressed about missing the start of our show but by the time we'd realised the issue we were worried we wouldn't get anywhere else either. If there's a long wait for food, staff should let you know on arrival. I don't think there's any excuse for waiting over an...
