Absolutely outstanding service here from all members of staff 👌🏻 from the second we walked in we where greeted by the lady that directed us to the free car park over the phone and then carried out or booking request we made and confirmed allergies, breakfast order and asked if there was anything else we needed before showing us our room. The breakfast has lots of options and a full English to follow cooked fresh by an amazing chef who was also getting compliments from others at breakfast. The lady serving at breakfast was incredibly helpful when my son was a little ill before we eat and couldn't do enough for us and every member of staff we met where polite and helpful in every way they could be. The rooms where unbelievably clean and tidy and had everything you could want and more and we had plenty of options on the tv to watch and the WIFI was free and had a 2nd option for stronger signal and neither of then where weak. The car park is a bit small but it's free and we had no issues parking or getting in and out of there at any point. We cannot recommend this place enough for a place to stay, eat, drink or to visit the local area including warwick Castle which is a short walk away (around 12 minutes walking according to google) but lots to see and do on the way in the local town and market we seen in the Saturday. Don't be put off by the nightlife downstairs as the building itself is old and built well and thick so noise was barely noticeable even when it looked busy in the bar downstairs and even the customers where polite and friendly. Thanks to all the staff here for the great stay and we hope to see you again in...
Read moreThis is an honest review of my recent stay. We arrived and immediately felt welcome by the owner, her name escapes me. We unpacked, rooms a little tight but comfortable. We went down to the bar ordered drinks, food was excellent and had much laughter with the staff. Room was hot but had a fan and I was able to crack open the window. Day 2. Breakfast was good, breakfast staff again very friendly. Left on a trip for the day. Came back and went outside as I had company visiting. This is where my experience went south. Unbeknownst to our family they were celebrating Columbia Day I went up to order food for our guests only to be told the restaurant was closed(7pm). I can understand but again never told, had Booking. Com or the hotel mentioned this on checking I could have made alternate arrangements. I complained to a young man who identified himself as the manager. He commented I should have known the celebration was that day. I booked my room 6 months prior. I said “that’s BS, but full word, commonly used in Canada. He told me not to use foul language on him and walked away mumbling a lot of Spanish, shouting at his counterpart. Shortly after I asked for his name so I could leave a review. That was the end of my interaction with him, or any other member of staff. I will say other staff members during our entire stay were first class. I left a one star review. I was gobsmacked to learn of the response and I will post it here. Completely false and defamatory! Had it not been for this gentleman’s response I would have given a much...
Read moreWhat a lovely pub..it didn't disappoint..our room was lovely , spotlessly clean and the bed was so comfortable..our ensuite bathroom with shower was also spotlessly clean... beautifull white bedding and soft white fluffy towels.. Our room was at the front of the pub and I can honestly say we weren't disturbed by the traffic even though our window was left open because of the hot weather. So easy to book in and because we had to park in the carpark at the back of the pub due to the beer garden being in use, we were reimbursed for the parking fees....all the staff we saw were extremely pleasant, polite, cheerful and nothing was too much trouble. We ordered an evening meal, beef lasagna and a prawn, rice and vegetable dish, both very tasty and then breakfast was a really good selection of cereals, toast, juices teas coffees or a full cooked breakfast. The pub is a walkable distance to Warwick castle and the Town centre, a lovely mix of shops...and plenty of coffee shops to sit and watch the world go by.. We really enjoyed our stay...a very welcoming homely place. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again....
