Popped in here on a Sunday for a cool drink as it was so hot. It’s a lovely starbucks inside, great air con and I thought a nice cafe. It was very quiet so I went straight to the counter and was second in line. The payment had been made by the lady in front and the barista, Brandon, was making her drinks. Behind the counter the manager, I think her name was Hazel, was chatting away and doing stock and another barista, Kyle, was helping her. She did not acknowledge me or behave in a very professional manner whilst I observed. As the lady had order Frappuccino’s it was taking a while to mix. This was not helped by Hazel dumping two boxes of stock in front of the blenders so once he had mixed the ingredients he had to stop and move the boxes. The lady he was serving was getting cross that he was being outwardly prevented by the manager to do his job and that I was being ignored by the two free members of staff. Another lady came behind me and soon got agitated too as it was taking so long. Poor Brandon finished the drinks and then rushed to serve me, apologising for the delay. Still no help from the others. The lady behind asked Kyle to serve her as she was in a hurry and he replied he wasn’t allowed as was doing stock so the manager didn’t want him on the till. She said she’d like to talk to the manager and Hazel came out and said he could but still offered no apology. Finally I got my drinks but when I tasted it, later as had driven off, it was rather icy. I’m not surprised as Brandon had been rushing around. It made no sense that customers weren’t prioritised over stock. Read moreAdvertised as services, I have found this a useful second stop before the third leg of a long journey. Especially, as I need a coffee fill up and Starbucks sell my favourite Columbian. However (in an effort to feed back and get things improved): (1) Customers need to be aware of opening times because I have been caught out by 7pm closing. (2) The toilet facilities are seriously lacking. I have experienced them down to the disabled toilet because of water flooding through the corridors. (Not healthy to, then, walk into an area to order food.) Plus, check if there is toilet roll because I have needed to poach from another cubicle. On the last occasion, I didn't bother asking because I now carry it on the car. Still, not hygienic regards transferring germs. (3) This most recent visit, one younger of staff couldn't serve anything for "ten minutes". The impression was that she was waiting on someone and, because I couldn't guarantee how stretched ten minutes would become, I didn't by the much needed drink and food for a fellow passenger. Most disappointed because I was running out of options further up the road. (4) Regards coffee, a previous time, I was interested in "Pike's Place" but would have appreciated being able to buy it to taste. Read moreAppalling Service. Ordered 2 cakes & 2 Frappuccino (cookies & creme as per photo on the board) was asked if we wanted large we said yes. After waiting over 10mins and eating our cakes we go to check where are drinks are. When we finally get give them it is all slush & ice, no cream on top and certainly didn't look like a Frappuccino. When we questioned why it looked like that & where was the cream topping we were faced with an extremely rude member of staff called Callum!! He said you didn't ask for cream and anyway were out. He then said he told us when we placed the order that there was no creme (which he didn't or i would of said no thanks) When we said it was poor service and the product was substandard & we wanted a refund. He told us no we can't have a refund as its not there process & he said if we didn't like there was the door & basically told us to leave. What a joke.
