We booked a table here for 4:30 pm you have to park round the back next to the Premier Inn which you get 3 hours free parking . But make sure you enter your vehicle registration into the tablet when you get into the restaurant. We arrived early and waiting for someone to come to the desk as it states please wait to be seated. So we waited and waited and waited. Eventually, a lady shouted over that she would be with us in a minute. She was busy serving food along with someone else. When she came to the mian front desk I said that we had a booking under my name which took ages for her to find it. She asked if we wanted to go near the play area or away from it. We asked to be away from it as it distracts the children from eating their food. She showed us to a table and said that we needed to order from the bar. I went to the bar and ordered our meals which was easy and she sorted our drinks out. About 20 minutes later our meals came out. Piping hot and looked really nice. The plates were also hot which was nice. She did not ask if we wanted any sauces. Nor did anyone come over to our table during our meal to make sure that everything was OK. Everything was OK but it would have been nice for them to check especially when you pay alot of money to eat out now. The children's spaghetti bolognese was a nice size portion for the kids and they had garlic bread with it. We had the chicken and ribs with the coleslaw and side salad. One with chips and the other with jacket potato. It was extremely delicious. Again, the plates were hot. Still noone came over to see if everything was OK. My little girl was still eating her food and the young girl asked if she could clear our plates away and get desserts. I said no to the desserts but she could take the other plates away. Rather rude asking to get desserts when you could see someone was still eating their food. My little girl finished her food. But we had to get the attention of the waitress to come back to take her plate and request our desserts and she never came back to our table this must have been at least 20 minutes. We asked her for the desserts and she took the plate away. Another 15 minutes went by and she came back to the table and said that her ticket had gone for our dessert order and I had to give her our order again for it to be made up. We waited and waited. 3 desserts came out and then finally the 4th one. They were not worth the wait or the money we paid for them. The kids were ok but the main desserts were tiny. The chocolate torte with raspberry sauce was more like a cake base and mouse on top and the freeze dried raspberries were no where to be seen. There was so much sauce that it drowned out the torte itself as it was very over Powering. The chocolate crownie lacked the cherry centre and a smallest amount of icecream. Very slap hazard chocolate drizzle over the plate its like they did not care how they served it. Portion size was small and again not worth the money. Desserts were very disappointing. No-one came over to us to make sure we were ok. Overall the main meals were nice the puddings were a let down. Service could be greatly improved. I might go back if we were in the area but its not a place I would recommend that stands out...
Read moreOur meal was forgotten 4 people who ordered after us had received their meals when we asked why were told it hadn't been forgotten the reason was we had ordered the smothered chicken that takes longer to cook if we had ordered sausages we would have received our meal quicker!!! The waitress said she had checked our meal order time it had been at 12.20pm we have since checked with our bank and the order transaction was made at 12.07pm. When our meal finally arrived my husbands smothered chicken was severly overcooked and burnt around the edges When waitress asked if food was OK my husband said no, the waitress seemed very narked and asked if he wanted it changed, my husband said well would you eat that which she replied oh yes l like my chicken like that!!!!. What who likes burnt chicken and even if she does why does she think he should eat it. She seemed very reluctant to just take it away and was getting very agitated and rude by this time we had been waiting a good 3/4 of an hour and my husband just got up and walked way. The waitress starting having a go at me to which l responded by saying it was my husbands meal that was the problem my meal was fine. Seeing that the waitress wasn't going to take the meal away to be replaced and with no apology in sight regarding the state of the meal and the lateness of both meals l asked to speak to the manager the waitress then replied......l am the manager!!!!! My husband returned and said he wanted the meal replaced the waitress/manager finally took the meal away. My husband finally received a replacement meal nearly an hour after ordering. We both ate our meals although if l had my way l would have just walked out. The only reason we ate the meals is my husband suffers with Parkinsons Disease and has to eat within an hour of taking his medication. After we left the Lodmoor my husband was very upset and was trembling this was totally due to the way we were spoken to and the utter rudeness of the waitress/manager. A simple apology for the lateness due to the meals being forgotten along with a no questions asked swift replacement would have survised NOT the rude aggressive response we were put through. Our day has been completely turned upside down due to our horrible experience dining at the Brewers Fayre Lodmore Weymouth. We will be airing our views in other ways to warn other customers of our very negative experience. I will add that there did seem to be a shortage of staff and the waitress/manager seemed to be taking the orders, waitressing and for all we know cooking the meals!! But that's no excuse for the totally unacceptable customer care...
Read moreWe arrived and waited to be seated. We were greeted by Rhys, who sat us at Table 25. We realised that we were quite far from the play area so we asked Ryhs to see if we could move around the corner, so we are closer. He told us no, and to stay where we are.
I went to have a look for someone else, and found a lady wearing black. I explained to her too, she understood, took me into the play area and showed us a table, saying we are welcome to go there, to which we did.
I went to the toilet, where i found there was no soap in the 2 dispensers in there. So myself, and a little one couldn't wash our hands properly.
I went up to order and told the lady at bar when ordering our food (at 16:12)
I had just left the bar, on my way to fill the drinks up, to which I found one glass to be dirty. I went back to the bar to swap it, yet again I was given another dirty one.
10 minutes after ordering and filling out drinks up, we had a lady come and tell us you had run out of the things for the tandoori mixed grill, which confused me as when we left, it was all on hot plates next to the bar!! So we reorderes a chicken and pesto pie, to replace the mixed grill, to then told none of them either!!!
Rather annoyed, my husband looked for something else, but he couldnt find anything so we asked for a refund on 2 adult meals, as understandably, we didn't want just one of us not eating. So now we were not eating as a family. I was glad of this in the end, as I looked down at the cutlery, and that too looked dirty, it was disgusting.
We had someone bring over the two children's meal, where we realised one was wrong. We asked for 'bangers n mash' with peas (we stated this twice when ordering) it came out with beans on! So now, rather than not eating as a family, one child was eating instead. It took just over 5 minutes for the other meal to come out. They were both nearly cold.
At just gone 5pm we left, rather upset and disappointed. We took the little ones to the toilet, where we found the soap still hadn't been filled, when the lady we ordered with told us she would sort that 'now'.
Rhys was the nearest person available so I told him and left.
We're absolutely disgusted with our visit... Would...
