Pol Pol Takeaway — Local services in Great Britain

Sometimes in life we stumble across gems and this is certainly one of them! We had no idea this place was so close to us and came across it whilst searching something else on Google maps. Having roots in SE Asia, Southern Indian/Sri Lankan cuisine was introduced to me at an early age so I'd like to think I'd be able to tell a genuine place. Pol Pol takeaway is without a doubt the best takeaway of its kind in Weymouth.Flavour of the food is outstanding - very authentic, popping with spice and complexity. Prices are very reasonable and you couldn't get any better consistency from any nearby competitor. The star of the show for us was the Devilled pork stir-fry. We were really happy to receive a few extras. Unfortunately we were so hungry that the camera didn't get to eat so no photos this time!

Updated due to illness of main chef this takeaway had slowed down considerably. However hes back up and running once more and the meals are once more to die for. I had a vegan special from here the other night. Soya chunks in a lovely warm and flavourful gravy sauce, a lively fragrant rice and a fantastic warming lentil Dahl. Still superb. X x

Bought a meal from here. It's a lovely mixture of flavours. A real taste explosion that is so fresh you can tell it was made to order and not sitting around waiting to be bought. You can let them know your allergies and they will customise dishes or offer solutions. My advice is take the solution offered. After all who knows the tastes better. You have to order in advance so the food can be cooked in the slow manner it deserves. They offer a delivery service. The food looks and tastes clean and well presented. Not oily or greasy. It was a real experience on a hot summers night. Its definately in my top 3 takeaways, actually make that top 2. Really delicious home...

We've found our new favourite takeaway! From the start communication with Kevin was spot on. We have a tomato allergy in the house and was assured that since they make everything from scratch they could easily leave out any ingredient (something other places can't/won't to do as they use a premade tomato based gravy for the majority their dishes). This was very reassuring that the food would be cooked fresh and authentic. We were not disappointed! Every dish was full of flavour and on ordering you can adjust the heat based on your liking. We ordered with plenty of notice as instructed on the website and chose to have our order delivered at 6pm on Saturday...and it turned up at exactly 6pm. Couldn't be happier with the service and could not fault the...
