The Three Chimneys — Restaurant in Weymouth

My wife and I booked the carvery on Sunday based on us staying in the hotel stating it was the previous reviews stating it was the best carvery they had ever tried and how they had been returning just for the carvery.

Hands down the worst carvery we have ever had.

The Turkey was marinated in something neither of us could place and then smoked within an inch of being edible. This, even when removed, completly overpowered the taste of the meat.

The stuffing was so dry it crumbled on the fork and the yorkshire puding was flat as a pankcake and as hard as a biscuit.

There was only potato and carrot for selection. There were two others, however we couldn't place what vegetables made up the mix but it looked like cat sick. Only my wife was brave enough to place it on her plate and was able to confirm it tasted as bad as it looked.

Neither of us managed more than 4 oe five forks before pushing our plates away. 1 star for the carvery.

Had an absolutely amazing time here using the Augmented Reality Darts and Shuffleboard! We were greeted by Josh who was so lovely and got us all sorted out with drinks and then set up in the darts room. He also kindly checked in on us and got us sorted for shuffleboard after too. It is very family friendly as I had our 4 year old with us and 3 month old baby in pram and plenty of space for her. Also plenty for our 4 year old to be occupied with on the retro games arcade and games/board games in the games area. He had a lot of fun! The drinks were phenomenal - we had some really tasty cocktails and quick service too. Didn't eat this time, but will be back again and want to try out the carvery (which looked great) and the other activities they have on offer! Really recommend and can't wait...

This place is the pits. It is a basement, brightly lit with no character or atmosphere at all. There was no one clearly in charge. Our table had no number which we were wrongly assured would not be a problem. We ordered a sharing platter with beef brisket and pulled pork. The pork was delicious. Everything else was poor. The sides were sufficient for one person only. The beef was more like jerky than anything else. The platter was served on a board - we had to ask for PLATES! The table behind us had to ask for cutlery. CUTLERY. Seriously. In a restaurant, these are fairly essential, surely? This place is well rated on Trip Advisor. Our experience did not match the rating at all. I would not recommend it out go...
