The Sweet Pea Cafe — Restaurant in Wirral

My friend & I visit this cafe every Sunday and have done for the last few years. Sadly since the New ownership the place has gone down hill. The waitress with the blonde hair doe's not make you feel welcome at all. The New owner hides away in the kitchen and makes the food completely different to the other chef. When you question that the food has been served differently you just get an answer of "well that's how it's served from now on?" Overpriced, Bad management, Poor service, stinky cat that runs in from outside and all over the kitchen, dirty cutlery, lip stick on coffee cups, over all CRAP. £43 for a breakfast with attitude from staff. I love this place! It's literally always the first (sometimes the only) place I think about eating at whenever I'm in (or even near) West Kirby! Every single time, without fail, when I'm showing someone to West Kirby for the first time, I take them here; and it's never disappointed!

Their food is delicious, well-priced, and there's a good selection, too. The staff there are really friendly and welcoming, and the cafe itself is just a lovely place to be, with a great atmosphere. Food was nice and good quality. Service was a little slow, I'm not sure if the girl servicing us was new but she walked pasted our empty plates several times before we prompted that we had finished and wanted more drinks. Overall a nice little place for brunch and easy walking distance from most places in town. Was able to easily book a table through the cafe's Facebook page.
