The Waiting Room Cafe — Restaurant in Wirral

An amazing afternoon tea at The Waiting Room. I’d booked for 4 of us to celebrate my friend’s birthday! A variety of sandwich fillings were offered. We selected egg mayo & prawn with Marie sauce. Home made cake selection included lemon drizzle, banoffee, raspberry & white chocolate, Victoria sponge or lemon meringue. Large, warm sultana homemade scones with jam & clotted cream topped the cake stand. The best scones I’ve ever tasted! Unlimited tea and coffee were available. Carol the owner took the time to explain dairy alternatives to my lactose intolerant friend. The afternoon tea was excellent value, delicious food, generous portions. Carol & Emmy (waitress) ensured we had a wonderful experience. Don’t hesitate visit the Waiting Room for exceptional food...

Just eating my last incredibly cheesy #cheesescone. A few baked especially for me the last time I visited so I could still have my fix from the freezer on my tea breaks while beavering away in my home Studio on my Zappy Pots of Cheshire. Just could not resist.. A true #foodies, so if you are too, do go visit & say Lynn from Zappy Pots highly recommends this cafe, all their home made food served & selection of yummy yummy cakes & pastries. Had a sandwich ( more like a meal ) in there on Thursday afternoon just before closing when it came the presentation was a thing in itself, we sat outside and everyone who passed by commented on how yummy it looked, and my God the taste was amazing the coleslaw was THE best I've EVER tasted I would have been happy with just a plate of that !!! It was homemade and that good !!! Sandwich was packed with prawns and bread so fresh salad and crisps on the side !! Took home 2 slabs of lemon cake to complete the gluttony lol and that was homemade and gorgeous too !! Would recommend this to anyone without a doubt. Staff really friendly too !!
