If I could give this place no stars I would.
Waste of time and money. Machines are so outdated, you’re actually much better off going on Amazon and buying your own arcade machine. Will be in better condition than the ones in the “famous” Wilkies Arcades. Staff in there are miserable and rude - this is a place that’s supposed to be fun for kids to go to. Majority of staff are more bothered about going outside to smoke. You can never find anyone when you have a problem with the games. The owner lets his dog run around the Adventure Land whilst it’s open for the public, and even after multiple times asking him to put the dog on a lead, he comes back with “this is the friendliest dog in the world..” blah blah blah. I don’t pay the gate price for my son to just sit on my knee the whole time he’s in there because he’s scared of dogs.
The place needs a real kick up the a*se. Management need to be more attentive and the owner needs to listen to the public with their concerns.
I could carry on and carry on, but I’m not going to. I think enough has been said. I won’t be returning.
Oh, and everyone seen the news about the bouncy castle.. And the fact that you put a statement out blaming a child for unplugging an air compressor/blower is comical. EVERYONE from around the area...
Read moreWe took the Grandson yesterday,he was happy enough because he is enjoying the day out,but would have been nice to play some games myself,It was just full of slot machines and 2p machines, and the rest were just games you won tickets on for prizes,no arcade machines to actually play on ,you'd expect some old retro arcade games at least, this place was amazing in the 80s and 90s full of actual games ,now just a money pit , you have to put stupid amounts of money in the machines to get tickets to win a prize thats no where near worth the money spent to win it, and every change machine wasn't working so you had to wait for someone to be behind the cash desk ,and you could be standing there for five minutes before anyone turned up ,was sad to see the once amazing New Brighton Bright Spot Arcade had come to this , honesty save your money...
Read moreThis could be a great place but it never will be without some serious investment. The whole place could do with a facelift - paint, new carpets and lights. It feels old, dirty and dark. The arcades aren't up to much - its 2p & 10p pushers, claw machines set to the lowest grip setting, some gambling machines and a bunch of outdated arcades designed for tickets. No longer can you just enjoy a good arcade game here. The prizes are expensive (tickets) and is all cheap tat. The building is fairly iconic but I'd much rather it get knocked down and a more modern arcade be put in its place. It's not...
