I am Greek Cypriot and this is the worst Greek restaurant I've ever been to. Not authentic Greek cuisine, just supermarket/frozen food, if that, in a restaurant.
My friend and I visited for a reservation, on arrival the restaurant was closed until 12 noon, despite advertising open from 11.30... Getting bad vibes already...
Ordered a Meze for two.. Starters average.. Fridge cold dolmades, no grated potato in the keftedes. Main course disgusting. The meat was so dry for the souvlaki & lamb chop, Like it had been re cooked from yesterday's leftovers. We were the first customers in for lunch...
One Albanian manager, an Asian cook, and an English front of house server. Not one Greek employee. Authentic! My arse.. And Albanian music in the back ground
I won't be coming back, and I will tell at least 10 people of this disastrous lunch.
The waitress was very pleasant and very apologetic, but she didn't cook the slop that was served. The manager walked past our table 3 times after we made the complaint and said nothing,...
Read moreGreat cheesy chips and good service.
I just stopped off for some while waiting for the bus and I was genuinely surprised by the taste of cheese. I personally prefer mozzarella but the fact that they used a cheese with a good taste (medium cheddar by the tanginess) made the chips taste much better.
The guy serving didn't notice me with my debit card waiting for the chips and they have a minimum spend order which sucks but the guy greatly helped me out. Despite the £5 minimum spend he let me pay exactly £5 and gave me the cash back. I've never once been offered that service anywhere else before. It was nice not having to hunt for a cash machine (first time in Woking tonight)
It was either here or Pizza GoGo for a small pizza and I feel that I definitely made the right call. Less calories and a better taste. Next time I'll try something more if I'm nearby. After seeing Rooster's on the map (a favourite of mine) I was quite glad I went somewhere new...
Read moreLooking for somewhere new to take the family to celebrate my birthday, my husband said he’d found a Greek restaurant in Woking with excellent reviews. Being a family that love Greek food, we were excited. Not really a restaurant atmosphere, more a cafe. Cheerful decor though. Ordered a sharing Meza starter for £17. Tons of olives and beetroot, with tiny pots of humous etc and about 1 pitta bread chopped up. Certainly not £17 worth, but taste wise was ok. We all ordered Chicken Slavaki at £13 each. What came was 2 skewers of dry chicken on top of a mountain of chips, with a tiny pot of taziki on the side. I must have drank 2 glasses of water trying to eat the chicken and didn’t make a dent in the chips. Not our idea of delicious Greek food. To be honest, for £80 for four people eating dry chicken & chips, you’d honestly be better off going to your local kebab shop for£6. At least you’d get salad!...
