As an arab who has tried countless lebanese and arabic/ turkish grill places, I was not impressed. It was just ok, this is going to be a detailed review. Service was low, our waiter spoke poor English and some arabic. Bread was microwaved, wet and then became rock hard in minutes expectedly. The mixed appitizer platter was ok but tabbouleh was largely chopped and dry, stuffed vine leaves was from a can and not even a good brand. Hummus, baba ghanoush, kibbeh and mini meat pastries were lovely and delicious. Falafel is ok. We got a mixed grill which was very good, well cooked, could be more spiced but good quality meat, the rice that came with it was clumpy. I have hygeiene concerns though which is why I won't go back. The straws that came with the drinks were dusty from the inside, I was drinking dust and the ladies bathroom is very very poorly maintained, there is broken sink plumbing which they patched up but still leaking and it isnt clean.
Update: went back for a work dinner and actually was much better. The lamb shank is amazing! Mixed grill again so good. Bread was better and I knew what to order for appetisers. They get another star from me. Service remains a problem, on a Saturday evening there was only one waitress. And the toilet, they really need to...
Read moreWe had a table booked there on a Saturday night for a family dinner. My 11 year old niece and 68 year old mother also joined us for the dinner. We turned up there at 9 pm as per the booking time. They didn’t have our table ready until 9:50 pm and the guys from Jeitta kept saying ‘10 more minutes’ every 5 minutes. They kept accommodating all the new people while everyone including my mother and niece was standing there and waiting for a table on a freezing cold night.
Eventually at 10 pm they came to take our order and said they ran out of lamb and only had chicken in the restaurant. No apolgies shown and the waiter was giving us attitude and didn’t want to explain anything in the menu. After being treated with such disrespect, my family didn’t want to eat there. We all left Jeitta hungry and were in a situation where we had to find an alternative restaurant in that freezing night which was really hard considering it was already closing time for most places. Absolute nightmare. We would never...
Read moreI am local & have been eating here for past 8 years. Based on that I recommended this place to my work colleagues for a Christmas dinner. I was very fond of their lamb dishes like lamb shawarma, kafta meshwi, lamb shanks and these are the dishes I suggested and my colleagues were looking forward to them. I booked one week in advance and when we(10 people) turned up on the day, we were told that there is no lamb as they ran out & we can only order from set menu. Basically eat what we give you, they provided cheap stuff like rice with chick peas, aubergine etc. The main course was cold and came after 40mins after the starter. Also on top the extractor fan broke and smoke was coming to the dining area, and they had to open the doors when it was -4 degrees outside. There was no indoor heating, they food was awful for £30 per head. All in all very very bad experience when it mattered on the special occasion. The staff wasn't really helpful and apologetic with...
