Marciano Lounge — Restaurant in Woking

We visited on Thursday which was our first time out in a restaurant since lockdown. We were greeted by a very bubbly and friendly lady within seconds of walking up to the door. She made us feel very welcome, asked us to fill out the track and trace and explained the ordering process to us, offering alternative (vegan and allergy) menus and asking if we had any food allergies. She explained that all tables had been sanitised and offered us a few tables to choose from, and when sat down offered to take our order if we didn’t want to use the app. She was attentive and friendly throughout our visit and made us feel like we were her only customers despite almost every other table being occupied. We watched her treat every single table in this same manner. We were impressed by her attentiveness and energy which didn’t lapse in the slightest even though it was incredibly busy. This staff member is an asset to the team and single handedly made our experience amazing and we will be returning customers because of this level of service. I particularly enjoyed the all-day brunch selection, and the tapas dishes were a highlight – full of flavour and well-presented. The drinks menu is also extensive, with a good range of cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic options.

Service was friendly and attentive, although it was quite busy during my visit, so there was a bit of a wait for food. However, the staff were apologetic and made sure we were comfortable. One thing I have noticed is that it can be quite hit and miss with staffing in terms of attentiveness and demeanor.

Marciano Lounge is a great place to visit if you wanna try some tasty and interesting cuisine in Woking. We chose Marciano Lounge for a weekday laid-back dinner party as it has a nice atmosphere. Its interior and layout is great: spacious tables far enough from each other, not so loud background music so you can chat with your friends easily. Altogether it has a joyful atmosphere - the staff were smiling and friendly. They enjoy their work and are happy with it, I guess. I was lucky enough to taste a wide range of tasty dishes there. And this is one of their main advantages! I mean I could try Italian, Portuguese, Hebrew, British and American food that one afternoon. They offer big portions that are Insta-compatible. They just look really great and appetizing. We shared around 10 different dishes with friends and I particularly enjoyed the Halloumi salad, hummus, and spicy guacamole tapas and the brownie-ice cream combo. This is a great place. Obviously it deserves 5 stars. I recommend it to everyone....
