We’ve been going to so’s kitchen for over 10 years as a favourite option when having dinner out as a family, It’s our number one choice, we often bring friends along with us who also love it. It is by far one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants you can eat at outside of London, with such a good range of options. Having Chinese routes ourselves, the food is so comforting, really authentic and high quality; the flavours are sensational and it never feels too heavy or oily - ingredients totally fresh. Bring your own booze is a great policy as it keeps the cost low, but they do offer a fantastic range of soft drinks and teas. Pricing is extremely reasonable and especially when compared to what you can get elsewhere. We love the staff, such friendly and kind service. The wait time on food is also spot on - pretty quick but not so much so that you can’t first relax and have a drink with some prawn crackers. Inside it has a very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for casual dining - nice and simple, you’ll never feel rushed out. Great location with tons of parking nearby. We will continue to return to So’s Kitchen as we cannot get enough.

Nice little shop that serves Chinese food. Variety is decent but food ingredients are okay. The only disappointment is that when we tried to order liquor from them, shop server told us we can just get alcoholic drinks from shop next door as they do not have liquor license. So we just bought jack Daniel coke and when we got our bill, we saw that they charge corkage of $2 per head. Corkage is totally fine but wish they tell us the fee before hand so we can decide what to buy. And one of us ordered a tea and tea is $3 but they top up a fee for the tea cup I can’t remember if it’s $2 per cup. That is somewhat unusual the way it’s charged. These fees sum is not big, and I understand they are running a business. But for a mom and pop shop, I think they caught me by surprise.

The restaurant's food quality is average, and it can be described as fusion cuisine. However, the chef doesn't seem to aim for perfection, as there's a slight lack of attention to detail. The Fried Rice lacks proper wok hei and the Sweet and Sour Pork has tough meat. The service is the weakest aspect overall, as they constantly reminded us to hurry up as if rushing us out. It's safe to say we won't be patronizing this place again. Charging a service fee for parties of six or more is incomprehensible. The dim sum tastes decent, with the Char Siu Bao being the standout. It's safe to say that it added some points to the overall dinner experience.
