North Street Social — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

If i could give this place ZERO stars I would! Do not recommend the staff are unfriendly and slow ! Hired the PRIVATE room for my sisters 18th.. security would not let our guests in and the owner then said none of the guests can come in if they don’t have no ID! Prior to this JOHNNY failed to mention all guests under 18 are not allowed to enter after 10PM. We said we will end the party if he can give us the money back as at this point he had ruined the vibe and the birthday girl was crying & no longer wanted to party. He didn’t want to give us the money back and still wanted the party to end 2 hours after starting (it started at 9PM) Eventually they were let in after 2 hours of waiting outside in the cold! JOHNNY then called the police and lied to them and said “50 youths rushed the door”. When the police arrived they asked what was the problem we had let them know what happened they were confused as to why they were called and left. Surely if we was doing something wrong they would have had to lock off the party.

We also agreed to go to the venue to set up at 7PM we turned up and he said we have to wait 45 minutes.

Very bad business and terrible communication from johnny. Would not recommend if booking...

After a night out in Brum for my nieces 18th birthday, 14 of us decided to end the evening locally at North Street Bar! The bar staff were lovely! The door staff were amazing! I’m afraid that’s where it ended! The fist floor desi night we paid entry for had the strong smell of marijuana! We were a group of 14 Asian females! We have never felt so uncomfortable in such a misogynistic environment. The sadness is they most of the males were young and felt it was ok to invade the space of the women around them. Has been over 10 years since I last went out in Wolverhampton and it is sad to see things...

This place should have - 10 for the review the owner jonny and the gf are the most rudest people iv ever spoken to they swear like iv never hurd before and are verry disrespectful they have a party haven't even got a dj call sombody last minute giving the dj only 3hrs b4 the event give all false information don't pay the dj due to there lack of equipment wires all being pulled out of the equipment, it was a total utter mess the whole night don't ever book this place for a private hire. And what made it worse they didn't even refund the party after all the greive...
