Having a midweek day off, we decided to grab some breakfast before getting on with our day. Not having been here before, the hub was quite different to other Sainsbury's restaurants, and seemed to promise much. We decided upon a couple of simple breakfasts, priced modestly at £6.45 each, one meat and one vegetarian. The pictures and description were inviting - sausage, egg, two rashers of bacon - the usual fare for this type of breakfast. Little did I realise they appear to be farming micro pigs for breakfast, as this picture constitutes one whole rasher of bacon - ridiculous! I've had more meat in a vegan chicken nugget! Quality wise the food wasn't great, though the staff were pretty good. I would not recommend this place, and suggest you only eat breakfast here if you feel a need to punish yourself for something terrible

Ordered the bacon & cheese GBK burger with skinny fries and the slim chicken tenders. Waited 40 minutes for food although the restaurant was not busy. The burger came out followed shortly after by the fries and then a few minutes later by the tenders. The burger came out with bacon and cheese on but no sauce or pickles. The bun was charred which left an overwhelming taste of charcoal in my mouth. Luckily my son had honey bbq sauce from slim chickens which helped salvage the burger. The fries were not very appetising, overall not a patch on the food Ive had at any other GBK and it does not deserve their branding. I won’t be returning. I did show my burger to the lady who served me who confirmed it should have sauce etc on top and requested she take it up with the chef but received no feedback from any staff before I left.

Dull food, you would expect to get at a roadside burger van. Meat quality was ok but underwhelming for the price. The bland service of the staff reflected in the experience of its junk food rather than fast food. As an extension of services attached to Sainsbury's, waitrose does a far better cafe. And to have no napkins available is just poor management.

The customer service is horrendous, it’s a zero star. I’ve never seen something like that. I came with my family for an afternoon tea and brunch. Firstly when we got to the counter they all stood there chatting for some time, just looking at us. The young lady who seemed to be a trainee then came up to serve us. I ordered 2 afternoon teas that come with scones (1 tea and a latte) but I was given only one afternoon tea and just a latte, when I complained about the error, the manager said she can’t do anything about it, I have to pay extra for a scone. I understand the person who served us is a trainee or something. I asked if they could cancel the order and do another order instead, the lady called Tina M the manager said she can’t do anything I have to pay extra if I want the scone. She blatantly refused to help. She was very rude. I don’t think if she really like the job. She doesn’t know how to resolve issues, doesn’t know how to speak to customers, her customer service is 0, no management skill, she definitely needs retraining. I’ve never seen a manager who doesn’t know how to solve problems, and speaks to people like they’re not humans. Another thing, the tea was put in a cup instead of a teapot, but the customer who ordered after us had theirs in a teapot, which was surprising because we have always ordered the same thing, we didn’t want to complain about it because we just wanted our food. I told her this is 2024 we can’t keep treating people like they’re not humans anymore, we’re all the same. I don’t know if it’s part of the job. She then cancelled our order because she said you’re saying I’m racist because I told her not to treat people differently she said “DONT EVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN”. Like Wooww that’s not very nice. I am very disappointed honestly. My...

Beyond substandard, inferior, unsatisfactory, appallingly unacceptable even as a dog's diner, yet ridiculously overpriced. Not even these words sufficiently describe this dross establishment that replaced a perfectly thriving café. Someone on this thread described The Restaurant Hub as a Wish version of food service, and I couldn't agree more. AVOID AT ALL COSTS (Emphasis on the word 'costs'), even if your life depends on it, and if you're visiting on a lunch break, God help you. I've been twice, but never again. The first time was when I waited ages for microscopic chicken wings; I should have gone to KFC. Two weeks ago I gave the restaurant another chance and ordered a burger and fries. 30 minutes later, I still hadn't been fed. I noticed a long queue at the counter, and as a former food service worker myself I understand being short-staffed, but I was there first. My burger was sitting under the lights in full view, and not one person cared to leave the counter for one minute and serve me? Ten more minutes later, I approached them and collected my food myself, and not one person apologised. Not one. To think I wasted money on a cold burger that failed to meet usual standards. I could have visited F&B's; yes, their waiting times are equally long, but at least they know how to respect customers. Same with the old Sainsbury's café. I've eaten Gourmet Burger before, and I know what to expect. This wasn't it. I'll never, EVER, visit again unless a new broom drags itself in to sweep that horrible place. Better yet, bring back the old Sainsbury's café. PS - The only reason I'm giving one star is because this thread doesn't...

Came here on Sunday. Ordered at caffe Carluccio's. There is a breakfast deal showing sandwich and hot drink for £4.95 but only till 1030am although they open at 11 on Sundays the deal is still showing but they can't serve it. I thought fair enough I will get the one with Pastry which doesn't say any time or day that it has to be ordered - they said that I can't have it because its only Monday - Friday but doesn't say on the screen. Asked for hot chocolate for my daughter, they said they don't have any but then another lady said she can make it. Finally sat down to eat and when the hot "chocolate" cooled down and we had a taste it was bitter cocoa powder and milk for £2.95. I went back to get refund. We tried to get her milkshake from slim chickens menu instead but unfortunately they had none. The staff here seems like they haven't been trained properly and all the deals on the screens are misleading. No wonder the place was empty. Gave 2 stars instead of 1 as my croissant was nice but wouldn't make me to come back.

*Shame I can't reply to your reply dear owner. We were there at about 11.45, why is machine being cleaned just after it's been opened for service I don't know. But I would have thought it would be done just before opening but never mind.... thanks for your...
