Best delivery service ever! I rang the shop today to ask if they could deliver a birthday cake to my Dad, 93 years old in Broadway for the same day, today. The owner apologised that he didn't have any birthday cakes "but I do have chocolate Gateau". This sounded like the perfect treat for my dad who loves sweet things. He even had a happy birthday logo to put on it. He apologised that the delivery would be tomorrow, which was OK by me as I would explain it to my Dad, why it is one day after his birthday. The price was so cheap, and NO delivery charge. Wonderful. Less than an hour later the cake had been delivered. Unbelievable! This shop really went out of its way to make a good service! I've driven past this bakery several times and it looks really cute, like a priper bakery that bakes things in house. Homebaked, which is the best. Well me and my boyfriend went there yesterday. The lady that served us wasn't friendly at all, hardly spoke and didn't smile. Anyway we eagerly ordered a chocolate cake slice and a carrot cake slice along with a can of pop. They both looked delicious. I bit into the carrot cake and it was stale so it had clearly been on the shop front for a few days! I couldn't eat it, I was so disappointed! Today was the fourth time I have bought a quiche from the store and have been told every time that the one I want has bacon in it which I wanted and was looking forward to enjoying. However once I have returned to my sisters house to enjoy my quiche I have become very disappointed in the service and product due to every slice of quiche had no bacon at all in it so I've ended up with nothing more than a cheese and onion quiche after being told by the staff in the store that the quiche had bacon in.
