Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Aberdeen

I will like to start by saying the best thing about this visit to Applebee's 911 Beards Mill Aberdeen, MD 21001 was the hostess Ms. Pat. My party and I stopped in off a road trip for something to eat after college football game. We enter the restaurant through the front door and was pleasantly greeted by Ms. Pat and a trainee. The trainee / hostess seated my party of four in Aniyah J. section. Let's just say Aniyah wasn't attentive to our table. After Aniyah took our order, we didn't see her again until see noticed other staff "hostess and servers" were attending to our needs. Carlie was a server who help us by getting us plates and napkins for sharables. Carlie then had to help us again by getting items that we asked Aniyah for when she took our food order. Carlie nicely told us that she will let our server Aniyah know that items didn't come out with our food that we requested. Aniyah never came and we had a problem with our food. Myself and another person in my party ordered Fiesta lime chicken. The chicken was good but the rice was extremely dry and crunchy. Again, "no Aniyah" so Carlie to the rescue she told kitchen about our issue with our food and that wanted to switch out rice with mashed potatoes. Immediately after Carlie goes into the kitchen a nice gentleman plate runner or kitchen staff came out with our mashed potatoes. We were given an empty bottle of ketchup with 2 orders for classic burgers and fries. We didn't get our drinks refilled the entire time we were seated eating. At this point we didn't want to ask anyone for anything else but we needed a to go box. Aniyah J. finally shows up when it's time for checks. Our entire experience in Applebee's was complete chaos because our server went rogue. It's like our server disappeared after she took our orders. We asked her why she didn't have on name tag like everyone else she said "she lost it".  We left Aniyah a tip because we felt like it was the right thing to do. I understand that people have bad days and were all human. I hope she's a better server to her...

A piece of chicken was raw not cooked properly.

On my wife plate, she didn’t say nothing. just didn’t eat that piece. Little bit too salty. Also

The utensils, knifes old, the cups looked old have spots on them. Water spots. the forks had water spots also.

I think they were rushing to get orders out. That’s why they mist. those Little details like this,

people might say you’re picky. For Pointing this out. But it’s the truth.

I wasn’t going to say nothing. The only issue I had with my food the pasta sauce was 2 much.

I didn’t ate all of it. So this is my second time at this place.

First time. I had almost the same thing chicken and beef burgers separate with fries,

Only issue I had that time . they didn’t clean. in the creases, of the seat. This is the rounded seat for like 7 adults.

Everybody else was ok sitting there so I said nothing then.

The first time was good. second time it’s ok Maybe I will go back a 3rd time we’ll see.

Over all. I’m not trying to bring this restaurant down.

But I think it depends. on who was cleaning. the utensils and who is in charge. of cleaning the seat they didn’t do a good job this time around.

Are maybe they need a brighter light to see the seats clearly.

The lighting is dull, I guess that the mood of this restaurant. It is also a sports bar and grill

This restaurant has been around a long time I think. I would have to look this info up.

This is my opinion.

I’m not saying don’t go there. I would recommend you give this place a try. see what they have offer.

I went there on a Thursday. Next time I will go a different, day maybe my experience. will be better that time around.

I do watch kitchen nightmares with chef Ramsey. And every episode.

If I was being picky. I would have left. the first time I went there, and went to sit...

Beware

On saturday 8-9-25 between the hours of 4-4:30 me and my wife and two kids under the age of 6 years old. We visited this location in aberdeen for lunch. Before we ordered our lunch, my wife and i orederd a drink from the bar. I ordered a strawberry Daiquiri and she oredered a special from the flyer on the table. My Daiquiris color looked off as my wife pointed out. Our food took about 15-20 minutes to come to our table. At this time i have finished my daiquiri and ordered another. The sencond one looked a lot different, better to be exact. I think the first one was mixed wrong and ever clear was added with rum to cause me to overdose on the beverage. But before i could sip it or eat my food i started to feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach. Within seconds i felt real weak and sick. I looked over at my wife and told her i will see her in the car after she ate so i can get some ac to help me feel better. So as i stood up i felt worse. I tried to make it to my truck to lay back and hope for it to pass by. But i ended up getting very dizzy, sweating like i ran a marathon and passing out multiple times outside the front door and had a seizure, which i have never had in my life. I could not stay awake no matter how wide my eyes could open. My body has many marks from the fall. I felt like i was going to die as when i woke up i started to breathe very heavy. I can not remember everything but just pieces of it. 911 was called and i was checked out by the paramedics. I was perfectly fine before i entered this establisment. What we thought would be a family dinner ended up making me very sick like never before. We spent over $100 on our food and drinks and never got to enjoy it.
