Bojangles — Restaurant in Aberdeen

I've lived in NC for the past decade and since a family friend is the Regional Director of Operations for Bojangles in this area hounded me to try it and leave an honest review of my thoughts, I went ahead and did just that!

The Bo Berry Bicsuit deserves all the hype! Extremely delicious and a recipe that I will be replicating in the future. I dipped all the biscuit sandwiches (except Bo Berry) in gravy and overall I will say the biscuit sandwiches are pretty basic/standard. No separation from other fast food chains as far flavor or taste.

The chicken sandwich is absolute garbage. See attached for what is advertised vs what I received. The sandwich is supposed to come with pickles. Mine came with a tomato instead. Then, of course, there's the chicken. My sandwich comes with a pathetic excuse of grocery store frozen fillet instead of a piece of juicy chicken as advertised. From the Bojangles website about their chicken sandwich: "No detail was too small. Marinated chicken breast, hand breaded with bold Bo spices, layered with thick dill cut pickles, creamy mayo, and a buttery toasted bun. Even the box is custom made to preserve that big Bo's flavor." My sandwich was none of these things, I didn't even get the box to "preserve that big Bo flavor".

As far as the service, as soon as I walked up to the counter to order I was met with "For here or to go?" No greeting or smile. In this case it's not that big of a deal since it matches the overall quality of the restaurant which is mediocre.

I'm seeing the Regional Director next weekend and I'm not looking forward to the awkward conversation that...

Family and I get Bojangles frequently(wkly) and have a good experience overall. Sanford, Carthage, Biscoe all great! However, when it comes down to our hometown area it's actually a 50/50 chance. This morning, no bacon and only small cups. No big deal. I wasn't told that till after the order. The cup when she handed to me again, no big deal. The bacon did not know till after I waited for about 6 minutes and went to check on my order. That's when they told me, so I'm glad I checked on my order. They substituted it with a sausage patty. That's fine. I got a SEC instead that had been sitting for a while. When I was up at the counter I pointed out that there is a pricing variance between the receipt and the poster displayed on the front window and on their menu screen. Should be 5.99 was rang up 6.40 then .45 tax totaling 6.85. Again, no big deal just .40 but how many else throughout they day will be or have already been over charged and not getting a complete combo since no bacon. I was still good up till this point despite everything. However, the final action that caused be to post is an employee put my x4 bo-rounds that came with my combo in a to go bag even though it was dine in, upside down in the bag and not one bo-round was contained. They were all loose in the bottom of the bag. I showed the older lady working behind the counter the bottom of my bag and she offered to get me some more bo-rounds(which was nice of her) but I declined. Poor experience overall. This store is terrible. For today's visit the drive thru lady told me it was broken and I had to go inside. She lied as other people were getting their drive thru orders while I was waiting inside. This was problematic for me as I wasn't trying to bring my three young kids inside to wait. Then they were out of ranch and chocolate milk, a few weeks ago they were out of fries. The drink machine was leaking water onto my hand when I activated the dispenser. The workers were slow. One man was waiting the whole time I was in there for an order that didn't seem to be complicated - other orders were filled before his. The two guys immediately in front of me wanted to cancel their orders because they could see they were not being filled. Apparently the lady somehow didn't have their tickets. I finally got my order home and the fries are borderline not cooked and barely seasoned. There was one or two people "working" who were just standing around. The lady filling orders gave attitude to the men who wanted to cancel. She tried to say she was moving fast and she definitely wasn't in a hurry at all.

Also not too long ago, the drive thru line wasn't moving. There were people wearing uniforms but I guess no one was actually working. I went across the street to chic fil a and had my order filled in less time than what I spent waiting for no service.

I've had so many problems with this store being slow and doing poorly that I'm not going back. It's a shame because I live the food but I cannot with the poor service and quality and...
